[40] Lies

Azians POV   “You lied to me Edwin,” I seethed, eyes darkening on my guardian as he stood before me, I could feed Alpha and Omega’s anger sieve through me, the sudden heat behind my eyes dictating that my eye color was changing according to their anger, “You lied to US,” I paraphrased, my jaw clenching watching as he sighed, running a hand through his hair then down his neck before looking back at me. “Abigail thought it would be better you didn’t know about their relations.  Look I don’t think it’s a big deal, so what if they’re sisters?” he huffed. His tone did nothing but annoy me further, an irritation building from within me, “if you didn’t think it was a problem, why didn’t you tell me?” I fired back. He paused, as if thinking it over then released a breath as if having no conclusion, shaking his head, “Since when did we start keeping secrets from each other? If I can’t trust my guardian why th

[41] Claimed (part-one)

Kaya’s POV I run the brush through my tangled locks sighing as I threw away another hairball. Perks of having kinky hair.  Running a hand through it, I loosened all the curls, letting its fuzzy waves drop to my shoulders. My hair was usually straight but I had just washed it, and let’s just say it was about time I did. One more day and things could have gotten nasty. I stared at my reflection through the bathroom mirror, taking a deep breath out. Nothing out of the ordinary except the obvious curls that lined the frame of my face. I did look more like my mom every day that was for sure. Her nose was gifted to me as was the outline of her face. But Dad had quite the side, he blessed me with his round ears and thick lips. Lord bless my thick lips. I would say that was the major attractive thing about my face. I wasn’t afraid to admit it too. Tightening my nightgown, I gave my hair one last look and tug before going off to bed. From

[42] Claimed (part-two)

Kaya's POV I couldn't even understand what he had just uttered. My mind was clouded. He was too close. Way to close. He smirked, leaning in “you do remember, right?” I nodded mindlessly even though I was lost, yet the silence that consumed us made me realize he was waiting for me to say something, raising an eyebrow when the silence lingered. I tied to rack my brain for any offers I had made to Azian King and as luck would have had it only one came into being. I shook my head briefly allowing my senses to return, "You’re here to claim my offer,” I trailed off thinking back, my eyes widened, in realization, “Oh, my offer..," I repeated actually surprised at what I was hearing. He didn't seem moved at all, "your remedies don't work anymore,” he said casually turning away, eyes once again examining my room. I took this second to quickly dispose of my pepper spray, “You said you’d help me anytime, as I recall. D

[43] Denial

Kaya’s POV  I slowly opened my eyes, trying in vain to adjust to the sunlight rays before giving up the fight and yawning. Curling up further into bed despite it being already morning I felt a strange feeling of warmth and satisfaction tickling my back like I had the best night sleep one could ever have. I opened my eyes at this thought wider as it settled on me why I was feeling like this. It was because I dreamt of him.  I shut my eyes furrowing back into the warmth trying to somehow clear my head but after another ten minutes of failed attempts, I decided to wake up. Today felt like such a beautiful day and I didn’t want to waste it. I had awoken with a new appreciation of life in the rawest form, actually amazed I was blessed enough to breathe. Yes, I was extremely happy and light for some reason. My body felt as light as a feather and so-so relaxed. I breathed out, sitting up in bed stretching. My body felt like it had

[44] Invitations

Kaya's POV The day flew by in a rush,  I decided to have Lunch at Ally’s house why we researched more on her supernatural world she was so sure was shaped around us. For the second time since I had arrived in Torent, I was lucky enough to find her father at home, telling me he and my father had actually met a few days ago, catching up on the old past. Ally’s Dad had not changed a bit that’s for sure. Despite always being busy when he was at home, he did dedicate his attention to his family which I admired although it was a rare happening. After indulging him for a while Ally and I decided to head up to her room after lunch. Finally getting down to some homework I sighed, staring at the equations sprawled all around me on her bed, “did I tell you, you’re glowing today?" Ally asked. I looked up at her quite taken off guard, taking the pen top out of my mouth, a confused smile plastered on my face as I shook my head. "Well you are,”

[45] Not Even In My Dreams

KAYA'S POV I stared at the shadows that danced around my cream-white ceiling my fingers twitching, it was quiet as it should be in the middle of the night, with only the sound of my soft shallow breaths filling the air. Tuning over, I shifted my weight to the left trying to find the best position to sleep in. Secretly, I was trying to find the position I slept in the other night. See I had this theory. You know how when you have a good dream and then something stupid wakes you up and then you try to get back to the dream you had before you were interrupted by sleeping in the same position as before? I was trying that, I wanted to continue the dream I had. It was stupid I know but deep down I couldn't deny the attraction I had for Azian. And who could blame me?  If I couldn't have him in real life why couldn't I have him in my dreams? It was just a dream, after all, dreams were harmless. I could imagine what could have been if it

[46] Face to Face

KAYA'S POV I had control here, if I wanted him gone, he would go. And maybe this was what these realistic dreams were for. A way to let go, and realize my worth. The sooner he left the better. I pulled out of his grasp and he let go according to my wishes, as I slipped out of bed, tightening my robe. He looked at me intently, eyes never leaving me and I stared back at him for a moment. Before closing my eyes.  How does this work again? It was easily done according to all the movies I had watched. All I had to do was believe, or wish or whatever it was and he would be gone. Taking a deep breath in, I let myself slip away, wishing with all my heart that he would disappear. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes, eyebrows arching when and frown overtaking my features when I still saw him there staring back at me with a subtle sadness in his eyes as if he knew exactly what I was doing. That was good, this meant

[47.1] Frustration

Azians POV  I stared blankly up at the ceiling feeling like I was trapped somewhere within my body, and yet I was still lost. My eyesight felt blurry and I had to let it focus for a moment. My chest was thick with an emotion I couldn’t quite discern, a feeling inside me that just didn't want to clear. I couldn't believe she had sent me away, told me to leave. I could see the questions that had been floating in her mind, wanting to finally get rid of me. I didn’t know why I felt so angry within myself, to the point where it felt like raw hate oozing out of me. I growled sitting up and tossing my pillow into the wall with so much force it actually made a dent in the wall. I stared at it breathlessly, unable to keep myself from panting harshly. The truth of the matter was that I had not fed from her energy as much as I needed and I was starting to feel week as the little I had drained from me, which made me angry, and Alpha livid.  My

[48.1] Who is she?

Edwin’s POV I stared blankly at Azian's door, then glanced down at my watch. The bastard was still asleep at this time. I could smell him from here so I knew he was in, and I could practically hear his deep breathing indicating that he was definitely still in bed. Not asleep though, his breathing would have been a second longer. “He’s still in there?” Alessia asked, walking up the stairs. I sighed shoulders falling, “yes he is.” Alessia grinned, eyes shining, “Do you want me to get the bucket?” she asked. My head rolled in her direction raising an uninterested eyebrow. She rolled her eyes huffing, “well, you’ll have to wake him up, doesn’t he have that dinner to get to with Khloe?” she asked, before glancing down at her watch, “it's 11.” I took a deep breath out, walking towards the door. I paused tuning to face Alessia who was right behind me, “Give me a moment,” I grumbled at her ever feisty nature. Her eyes narrowed on me, b

[49.1] Mother Dearest

KAYA'S POV. I watched the houses move past us as my aunt turned the car to the next street. The day seemed cold, the sun was blocked out by the clouds, and if anything it felt like the whole world knew where we were headed and was begging me not to go. Well it was too late now, in exactly five minutes we would be pulling up to that house/ My fingers played with my curly soft hair, as I rested my head against the car seat, my mind rushing back to my dream. I had to be going crazy... These dreams were so realistic I could swear they were, but I always woke up in the end so they have to be. There was no other explanation for them. "What are you thinking about?" Ally asked from behind me. She was seated alone in the back of the car, whilst I was in the front with Aunt Lily. "Honey if you don't want to go just say it and I'll turn this car right around. Lord knows we are walking into the lion’s den" Aunt Lily replied with a
