The Boy Who Killed A God: XIV

“Are you okay?” Keira asked her grandson. While she didn’t understand why Mane was so shaken by the news, she could feel that something was wrong. However, that feeling didn’t last for long; for the discomfort of the boy disappeared soon enough, and he flashed her a gentle smile.“I am fine Grandmother,” the title of the lady before him rolled so naturally off his tongue that Mane was actually a bit surprised by it. He didn’t think it would be so easy to accept the woman before him as his own. Yet it was. There was just something about her kindness filled aura that drew him in and kept him confined to her heart.“Good kid,” Keira chuckled gleefully. She gently tousled Mane’s hair like he was a child and not a man much bigger than her. Her wide grin was infectious, for Mane found himself bearing a mark much similar to it before he knew what was going on.“And what of me?” Komfo Anokye tried to crush the party with his comments. Mane took one look at his sly smile and mercilessly crush

The Boy Who Killed A God: XVI

“Hello Mane,” Matriarch Ruth gently smiled at Mane when he approached her. Her warm smile was a bit strange, for it reminded him of another. Her smile was so similar to his. Her smile was almost the same as Dan’s.“Hello Matriarch Ruth,” Mane pushed away the thoughts running through his head and gave a small bow to Matriarch Ruth. He may be capable of handling her now, but that was only by tapping into the Void. Besides, she had saved him so many times that Mane would never be able to show her any disrespect.“There is no need for such formality,” Matriarch Ruth smiled faintly and said. She could smell a great stench of blood and chaos around the boy. He reeked of the blood of many, and the scent he carried contained the emotions of many desperate races. Strangely enough however, his heart was still pure. There was a line the boy wasn’t going to cross and a path he was never willing to take. And that intrigued her.“I respectfully disagree Matriarch,” Mane shook her head defiantly and

Just like Amalgamation and all other major cities, Intersection had experienced its fair share of chaos due to Mane’s recklessness. It had been six months since that fateful day when the sky looked like it would fall on their heads, but recovery wasn’t complete. Luckily for Intersection, their losses were not as great as Amalgamation due to the distance between the city and the actual battlefield. But that didn’t mean that their losses were not heavy.Over the past few months the streets had been cleared of debris and fixed. Most of the homes had been put back into shape and required only painting. And the city gate had been erected. Right now, the most pressing issue was finishing the construction of the walls. Right now there was a makeshift fence sealing up the breached areas of the wall, but they definitely couldn’t depend on that for long. The resources that went into the wall were staggering, and the cost kept the Barbarian Lord awake each night. Well, that and the fear of someo

The eyes of every Elder were focused on the missing arms of the two Flames of Waska. Rasa’s right sleeve was empty, suggesting that it was his right hand that had been taken away. Waska wore a sleeveless top, so his stump was the easiest to see. Although his left arm was present, his left forearm had been taken clean off. So the area beneath his elbow was a blank!Waska’s dominance with his left hand was renowned throughout the entire planet. Every major powerhouse of the three Great Races, and even the humans in the camp of the Black Dragon were aware of how dangerous the Mad Flame was with a weapon in his left hand. The top warrio

“Protect the Lord!” Elder Blake was the first amongst the Elders to react to the intruder. His form flashed repeatedly in the hall as several weapons were picked up and tossed to their respective owners. This hall was a sacred place and didn’t allow any person, other than the Lord and his guards to possess their weapons on their persons, so Elder Blake made it his duty to procure them first. He was swift in his distribution, and his loud bellow drew the attention of all the Elders. Even those who were slow to react had caught on by now and were around the throne of their Lord. Rasa and Waska were always by the Barbarian Lord. Their eyes were fixed on the light before them, waiting for the brightness that was akin to a small star’s light to fade. Their lone hands were on their weapons, ready to protect their Lord from any threat. Well, the fact that someone had sneaked into the hall so brazenly without invitation was enough to regard the intruder as a threat. Elder Glass seemed unmove

Mane’s gaze was cold as he regarded every single person in the room. He didn’t know any of these people, yet he harbored no good intentions for them; for they had no good intentions for him either. They hadn’t met personally, but he had crossed paths with every single person here. When he fought Nasir and Chichi, as well as an entire squadron of Barbarian warriors, it was because of these old fogies; when he had to put his life on the line against a very impressive Camila, it was once again because of these old guys. Sasha came to his rescue because of these people here. In fact, Mane hadn’t forgotten the face of the one who had rendered him helpless when he appeared. Were it not for Sasha, he would have been brought to the Barbarian Tribe two years ago as a captive. And who knew the kind of torture they would have subjected him to? Mane w*s not a very forgiving boy. He w*s a fighter, but most importantly, he w* a hunter. He knew the danger of letting a dangerous prey go; for he w*s u

A pardon

Hey guys. I apologize sincerely for leading you on and making you think that a new chapter had finally been uploaded. I sincerely apologize for that. Okay, so the reason for my absence in the last couple of days is that I am writing a number of Mid-semester assessments this week and have been spending all my time preparing. I am not done yet however, and respectfully request that you be a little more patient as I strive to finish up with everything else. Hopefully, everything will be over by Wednessday, and I will - by God's grace - be back on track with more chapters. Of course I will try to make up for the lost time when I return (although I cannot make any promises). I will you all the very best and appreciate your patience. Have a lovely week and God bless you all.
