“Protect the Lord!” Elder Blake was the first amongst the Elders to react to the intruder. His form flashed repeatedly in the hall as several weapons were picked up and tossed to their respective owners. This hall was a sacred place and didn’t allow any person, other than the Lord and his guards to possess their weapons on their persons, so Elder Blake made it his duty to procure them first. He was swift in his distribution, and his loud bellow drew the attention of all the Elders. Even those who were slow to react had caught on by now and were around the throne of their Lord.

Rasa and Waska were always by the Barbarian Lord. Their eyes were fixed on the light before them, waiting for the brightness that was akin to a small star’s light to fade. Their lone hands were on their weapons, ready to protect their Lord from any threat. Well, the fact that someone had sneaked into the hall so brazenly without invitation was enough to regard the intruder as a threat.

Mane’s gaze was cold as he regarded every single person in the room. He didn’t know any of these people, yet he harbored no good intentions for them; for they had no good intentions for him either. They hadn’t met personally, but he had crossed paths with every single person here. When he fought Nasir and Chichi, as well as an entire squadron of Barbarian warriors, it was because of these old fogies; when he had to put his life on the line against a very impressive Camila, it was once again because of these old guys. Sasha came to his rescue because of these people here. In fact, Mane hadn’t forgotten the face of the one who had rendered him helpless when he appeared. Were it not for Sasha, he would have been brought to the Barbarian Tribe two years ago as a captive. And who knew the kind of torture they would have subjected him to? Mane w*s not a very forgiving boy. He w*s a fighter, but most importantly, he w* a hunter. He knew the danger of letting a dangerous prey go; for he w*s u

The elders lay sprawled on the floor in horror, some even forgetting to breath at times. They dared not look; they dared not flinch; for they didn’t want to be a part of this anymore. If they, as mere onlookers had grown tired of this spectacle, then what was one to say of the man who was involved in this entire mess; what was the Mad Flame of Magma to say. After all, he was the one who was being tortured.Over and over again Mane restored his health. And over and over again Mane burnt him to ash. Each time he was forced to the brink of death after numerous bolts had piled upon him, yet each time he was healed without much issue. It took a while, but Waska’s screams had ceased. The Barbarian Ancestors were famous for their vagabond nature, and rarely would every single one of them be available. But there were things that could bring them all together. Any issue that was cause for rejoicing, any situation that could lead to war, and any disasters of mass destruction could force them to come together. Well, the latter had recently happened. A battle between two powerful beings had wrecked the world and forced every old codger hiding underground to resurface; and this included the Barbarian Ancestors. There were seven Barbarian Ancestors in total, and each of them had their own title. The first was the Barbarian Primogenitor. No one knew how old she was, only that she had been there since the inception of the Barbarian Race. She was the strongest Barbarian alive, and was rumored to be as strong as the Ancient Matriarch. As to whether or not that was really true, no one knew. The second most influential ancestor was the second – the Adviser. His influence howeve

Hey guys. I apologize sincerely for leading you on and making you think that a new chapter had finally been uploaded. I sincerely apologize for that. Okay, so the reason for my absence in the last couple of days is that I am writing a number of Mid-semester assessments this week and have been spending all my time preparing. I am not done yet however, and respectfully request that you be a little more patient as I strive to finish up with everything else. Hopefully, everything will be over by Wednessday, and I will - by God's grace - be back on track with more chapters. Of course I will try to make up for the lost time when I return (although I cannot make any promises). I will you all the very best and appreciate your patience. Have a lovely week and God bless you all.

The eyes of the elders were filled with shock and fear. Their ancestors had been attacked? How did Mane battle them without making a single sound! “Impossible!” Magma screamed. For the first time in the several decades he had been the head of the Barbarians, he lost his cool before his people. “What is?” Mane asked nonchalantly, carelessly twisting locks of his long hair that had fallen onto his face. “You fighting the ancestors! A battle of that caliber would have shaken Intersection in its entirety!” Magma voiced out the thoughts of every elder here. They had never seen Magma this disoriented before, but they could understand why. They kept their thoughts to themselves though, saying nothing. “I think you are mistaken here,” Mane yawned lazily and said. His tone was that of one who was wasting his time speaking to people far beneath his level, and many of the elders grit their teeth in frustration at their current situation. They who were used to looking down on others were now

Magma walked hurriedly through the tunnels that lead to the mountain behind the Lord’s castle. He had never felt this much urgency whenever he visited this place, and he usually dawdled; for meeting his father was normally a draining experience. But today was different. He was anxious. He was worried. He needed to see the old man, or his heart would not be at piece.“Would you relax? I told you that I did not hurt him.”Magma wasn’t alone though. With him were two others – Mane and Matriarch Ruth. Though Magma was fast, the two easily kept up with his speed. After all, they were much stronger than him.“His anxiety had nothing to do with whether or not he believes you,” Hildegarde scoffed from atop Mane’s shoulder.“You would be this anxious too if you heard that someone attacked your father,” she added.“Well, that is true,” Mane admitted with a slight shrug. His eyes involuntarily dropped to the medallion hanging around his neck. A small smile stretched his lips, and he thought of t

“So if that’s all that you were after, why come after us?” Kill Joy asked with a confused expression on her face after listening to Matriarch Ruth’s request. The request was so simple that she didn’t understand why they – the Barbarian Ancestors – had been attacked in the first place. After all, what Matriarch Ruth sought was sure to bring a lot of benefits to them all, and finally end the long rivalry between the three Great Races.“Because they wanted to make it clear who was going to be in charge,” Adviser frowned and said. Unlike Kill Joy, his mind was sharp and well tuned to the schemes of men. The only way a person would be inclined to put up as dominant a display as Mane had, was when that person wanted to assert some measure of authority in a place.“Yes. After all, which alliance doesn’t have a leader?” Pathfinder was just as sharp as Adviser. And he too was able to easily discern the reason for Mane’s earlier performance.“I apologize for my earlier conduct,” Mane bowed slig

The journey from Intersection to Amalgamation was a long one. It usually took the average man several weeks, or even some months, to travel between the two cities. For Pseudo Phenoms it could take a few days due to their impressive mounts and their great speed in general. But for Phenoms, such travels were achievable in a few hours. Some years ago it would have taken Mane a few weeks to get to Amalgamation from Intersection. Not this time. The young Supreme sped past several plains and forests in just a few blinks, and in less than half an hour, the journey to Amalgamation had been 75% completed. “Will she be okay?” Hildegarde, Mane’s trusty fairy was sitting in Mane’s hair and clutching on for her dear life. However, even under such circumstances she could speak. And even more impressive, Mane could hear her amidst the strong winds that battered his clothes and ears. “Yeah,” Mane replied; his voice not at all affected by the strong winds. “Someone has to stay behind to discuss the

“This…is amazing,” Mane’s eyes widened as he took in the sight before him.The young Supreme was seated on Roxanne. The beautiful dark horse had been granted the power of flight by Crystal who had no trouble casting a flight Lease on the lovely beast. While this was not a permanent condition, it would last hours, and that was thanks to Crystal’s expert command over Chaos. Any other person would have been able to cast this Lease for just under a few minutes. Mane was no exception to this. Even if his power was not sealed, he would not be able to use this Lease to liberally. If this Lease was that practical, it would have been popularized.Next to him, Professors Stern and Stanley, and Dean Desmond had smile plastered on their faces as they watched the Supreme’s gobsmacked reaction to the impressive sight before him. Behind the professors were the students, both old and new. While the older students, Kahn, Frost, Bel, and Maia were floating on their own, the new students had to be envel

“What a brilliant welcome,” Poseidon slowly moved towards the teenage looking Zeus and Atlas with a broad smile on his face. The god of the waves floated elegantly upon a bident, his eyes briefly scanning Atlas before finding his brother’s immature figure.“You have grown weak, brother,” Poseidon chuckled as he slowly flew towards his brother.Atlas, who had been on guard since Poseidon’s appearance, frowned upon seeing the god of the waves getting closer to a much weaker Zeus. His figure flashed as he appeared before Zeus, shielding him from the gaze of his own blood brother. “You have fallen low brother. Now, you require the protection of a titan? Hilarious.” Poseidon mocked as he locked eyes with the delicate looking Atlas. “Of course I have fallen. Not only was I betrayed by my own son, but I also almost died. What did you expect will happen when one who is considered as part of the big three of Olympus approaches a fallen god?” Zeus did not mind his brother’s comments.Instead

Days passed and soon it was time for Mane to leave the planet of the Celestial Emperor. Well, he wasn’t the only one leaving. It was time for the professors to return to their academies with their students – both old and new. In front of the portal that could transport them back to their academies, Mane stood with his friends as they bid each other goodbye. Well, something close to that at least. To give them some privacy, the other professors had gone on ahead with the students, standing a few tens of meters away from the Silver Wolves.“Our great Supreme, our captain and leader, the Unbended is finally leaving us. Whatever are we to do?” Abe waved his hands theatrically as he feigned sadness and pain. His words caused Selina and the twins to snicker. Only Aegeus snorted before shooting Abe a deathly stare. As for Mane, he could only smile wryly at Abe’s comments. He didn’t know when it had started since he had been away for so long in the Dreamscape, but Abe had become more easy goi

It took a week for Godking to complete its assignment and soon, Mane was back on Planet Celestial. Walking through the streets of the capital, he noticed that he was receiving a lot of stares. While it wasn’t unusual for people to stare at him given his appearance and his ethereal aura, that was only on Zandor. One could argue that it was because he didn’t look like a Celestial, but that was not accurate either. Since Celestials opened their homes to others who craved entry into the God Academies, they had welcomed several different species into their home world. Mane wasn’t not out of place in this new era, meaning there were definitely staring for another reason.“You have become very popular, young Supreme,” Professor Stern who was walking next to Mane chuckled and said.“Hahaha! The recordings that were taken of you should have spread everywhere by now. Even those who were unable to attend the event know who you are!” Professor Stanley laughed heartily while striking the young Sup

“You are still eating, even after all that happened?” Hildegarde frowned and said. She was looking at the boy who had forcefully taken her with him when he was returning to his realm with a disapproving gaze. They had escaped that world that had been prepared as his burial place. As though it had never happened, they had returned to the exact spot he had been teleported from – the kitchen. Hildegarde was confused about his current reaction.Seeing him biting onto his tuna sandwich caused her eyebrows to lift in frustration. It was the very same meal that Mane had made and had barely taken a bite of when he was transported to another world. And yes, that was not a dream; it had really happened. She couldn’t understand how the Supreme could be so calm after coming out of a life-or-death situation.“What would you have me do then? Toss it into the trashcan? That would be a waste of food.” Mane answered nonchalantly as he wiped some fish from his cheek.“That…” Hildegarde searched for wor

There were many things that could not be understood in this world, regardless of the amount of logic that one’s mind could process at any given moment, there were things that befuddled even the most brilliant minds. One of such brilliant minds – no, two of these – was staring into the sky full of stars with a torn expression on his face. This man – nay, this god – was the trickster and master shapeshifter, Loki. But he wasn’t alone.“What are you thinking about?”“Many things.”“The great Loki has more than one troubling issue? This is interesting. Odin would have laughed at the absurdity of such a statement; but looking at your expression, it seems to be true.”“It is arrogance to assume that one can solve all one’s problems with one’s mind alone. Why do you think I sought you?”“Isn’t it greater arrogance to presume that two would be enough?”“But its not just two is it? One is the mind of Odin and the other is the mind that Odin sought.”“You say you aren’t arrogant, but you do not

“There really is no one impressive here,” Dragon King Bast stated as his sword sliced through a Noble as easily as cutting through tofu.“I knew he said he will make sure this place is left almost unguarded, but this is incredible,” Captain Hafiz muttered as he watched the disciplined legion of warriors beelining into their path. While he spoke calmly, his rioting aura and the violence being radiated in his eyes showed his eagerness for war.
