Chaos Bringer: IV

Magma walked hurriedly through the tunnels that lead to the mountain behind the Lord’s castle. He had never felt this much urgency whenever he visited this place, and he usually dawdled; for meeting his father was normally a draining experience.

But today was different. He was anxious. He was worried. He needed to see the old man, or his heart would not be at piece.

“Would you relax? I told you that I did not hurt him.”

Magma wasn’t alone though. With him were two others – Mane and Matriarch Ruth. Though Magma was fast, the two easily kept up with his speed. After all, they were much stronger than him.

“His anxiety had nothing to do with whether or not he believes you,” Hildegarde scoffed from atop Mane’s shoulder.

“You would be this anxious too if you heard that someone attacked your father,” she added.
