“You haven’t changed that much from the last time I saw you,” City Lord Sutton looked slightly pleased by Mane’s courteous behavior; and though he stated that Mane remained unchanged over the years, the light of understanding that filled his eyes when he scrutinized the tall man before him showed that he wasn’t being genuinely honest.

“Mira, do you not recognize our guest?” City Lord Sutton turned to Mira with a small smile on her face. The young lady of Asher City still had a look of confusion on her face as she tried to figure out just who Mane was. The face was familiar, but she couldn’t place it in her memories.

“Lady Mira looks as graceful as ever,” Mane gave a courteous bow. Because he flew here, quite the amount of dust had gathered all over his clothes and exposed skin. With a slight shake of his arm, ever sand particle and speck of dust fell off, and he appeared much cleaner and more refined than he was before.
