“You haven’t changed that much from the last time I saw you,” City Lord Sutton looked slightly pleased by Mane’s courteous behavior; and though he stated that Mane remained unchanged over the years, the light of understanding that filled his eyes when he scrutinized the tall man before him showed that he wasn’t being genuinely honest.“Mira, do you not recognize our guest?” City Lord Sutton turned to Mira with a small smile on her face. “Would you stay for it?” City Lord Sutton probed, wanting to know when Mane planned to leave.“Unfortunately I have some business to attend to, so that would have to wait for later.” Mane’s reply seemed to have eased the tension between the two, and Mane couldn’t help but smile bitterly.Clearly they didn’t know that he was responsible for the damages their city had suffered. Ivor’s faced paled at Mane’s unexpected words. But he gritted his teeth and nodded his head. When he pledged his services to Ashera, he had promised to run everything by her before taking action. And though she had asked nothing of him, he also promised to never find a partner, so that he could remain loyal to her. But now he had broken that promise in many ways. He expected the wrath of Mane Harbinger to fall on him. He expected to lose more sensation; maybe his arms will be lost this time. But the young Supreme’s reaction stunned him. Within the Asher City Lord’s mansion hall, four men and a woman Mane was greatly familiar with sat calmly. These people were the former members of the Orange Team and reigning champions of the Grand Tourney. “There is no need to look at us with such great hatred you know.” A slender man wearing a large black cloak shrugged helplessly and said. This man was the very same one who dared to assassinate the City Lord the last time he was in this city. This man was Black Hand, the close relative and right hand man of the Dragon Lord. “What did you expect? We aren’t exactly welcomed here.” Another man chuckled loudly and said. Unlike Black Hand this man was tall and large. He wore a tank top that revealed his impressive physique, and the aura of a Predator emanated freely from him. This man was the captain of the Orange Team and subordinate of Black Hand. Vital Orange! Tucker’s eyes went wide as he shakily lifted his head. No one called him Tucker anymore. Since he left with the Black Team, everyone knew him as Mr. T; the deadly Thrasher who was capable of completing even the most difficult missions. Not even Black Hand called him by his name. The only one who did was Orange Ivy. His eyes pierced the eye of the tall young man before him, wanting to confirm that he was really the one he sought. What greeted him was a face that was well chiseled, without any fat. Those blue eyes were reminiscent of a time that was short but meaningful. And though that face was before him was more mature, Tucker was able to merge it with the younger face in his memories. “Master Mane,” Tucker shakily fell to his knees with his hands clenched by his side. It had been a few hours after Mane’s fated meeting with the Black Team. Since that time, the representatives of the Citadel had retreated and left the city, and Mane had accepted the City Lord’s offer to rest for the night. City Lord Sutton who was initially eager to get Mane far away from him, was now very happy to accommodate the young man; and this was all because of what Mane had achieved for his city today. From today, unto the last of days, the Citadel would stay away from his city. This was a good cause to celebrate. Although Ivor was enough of a deterrent, he was still an Elemental and there was always the fear that his people would come for him when they found out what he was using his power for. But with Mane’s assurance that Ivor was free to do as he wished, this fear has subsided. Now the knew that they had Ivor as a protector and that was calming enough. Mane walked steadily towards Tucker’s room. There was a small smile on his face, and his eyes were filled with great expectation. As he moved he realized that the guards had been alerted by Tucker’s aura. Many of the mansion guards were swarming towards Tucker’s room, and Mane even spotted Rusty and the Black Team members – with the exception of Black Ink of course – making their way to Tucker’s room with great urgency. Mane could also sense that Maggie and Steel Fist were on their way. They moved swiftly, and Mane judged that they would be at the mansion in less than 5 minutes. “Do not bother to come. I am here.” Mane locked on to the two and reminded them of who he was. They were stunned to hear a voice appear in their minds so suddenly, but they recognized the owner of that voice. They hesitated for a bit before choosing to listen to Mane and retreating. “You are now a big shot huh,” Hildegarde snorted and said. Mane smiled bitterly and ignored her.
