“Enough!”

As Mrs. Taylor continued, Shawn’s face grew paler.

Finally, he could not take it anymore and snapped at her.

Mrs. Taylor sniffed. She was trying to hold back her tears.

She pulled out her phone and showed him the death certificate issued by the coroner.

Shawn’s face went completely white.

He grabbed the phone from her hands and held it with both trembling hands.

“It’s impossible. This can’t be true.”

However, the official seal at the bottom right corner could not be fake.

Shawn must have seen it too. With a loud “thud,” he suddenly collapsed to his knees.

When he lifted his head again, I was shocked to see tears in his eyes.

Tears rolled down his cheeks. In matters of seconds, Shawn seemed to crumple. His posture became weak and defeated.

“Oh, Samantha… No, this can’t be true. You’re just messing with me, aren’t you? You were still so full of life when we argued last time. How could you possibly... I’m sorry, Samantha. I’ve learned my lesson now. Please come back
