“It's been hell in here, I'm mentally exhausted." She said over the phone as she wiped the tears that flowed down her cheeks.

“I'm really sorry, Jade." Khalil said at the other end of the line.

“You sound wasted, I should've checked on you earlier, I'm sorry.”

" It's not your fault Khalil, you are a good man. Unlike my husband.” She sighed.

" I'm driving to your place right now.” He replied.

" Really?!” Jade happily smiled.

" Yes, I can't bear the sadness I feel in your voice, it's breaking me in two.” Khalil sadly replied. " So get dressed. I'm taking you out.”

" Like, on a date?” She inwardly smiled.

There was a brief silence on his end. " Would you like it to be a date?”

" Um, that sounds fun.” She nodded.

" So would go out on a date with me?” He smiled.

" Yes.”

Jade quickly picked out a dress.

She clearly remembered what happened when she told Xavier that Carrie isn't carrying his child. He was so angry. The images of Xavier kept flashing in her mind.
