Chapter 47

Jade and Xavier stood before a store in a market as she bought some few things.

They hurriedly followed the instructions given by Khalil and soon enough, they arrived at a river and got into a boat reserved especially for them.

They have been on the run for two days now.

Two days ago, Khalil helped them escape from the palace and the king got furious.

Khalil was in charge of finding them so he stayed back to mislead his men and give them enough time to run as far as possible.

The last time she saw her friend was yesterday when he gave her everything she needed and they parted for good.

She hasn't treated his wound for some days now and it's going to be a miracle if it wasn't already infected.
