The person who deliberately started the fire was the girl I gave a receptionist job at the hotel because she claimed her mum was sick and I didn’t want her selling drugs for me.

I wondered if she even had a sick mum. I closed the laptop and texted Luke to ask one of the men to accompany her to my car.

After a short while, they arrived. She looked a little bit scared but was trying so hard to stay confident and play dumb.

I opened the front door for her to come in. “Em, where are we going to?” She stammered and asked as she got into the car.

I didn’t respond. I just zoomed off and drove in the direction of the stash house. She hurriedly brought out her phone and was about to text somebody.

One hand was on the steering wheel and I stretched my hands for her to put the phone in my hand. She didn’t protest and gave it to me. I tossed it out of the window and continued driving.
