Chapter Seventy Two

It was the morning of the funeral. I had already spoken to the family priest who was going to officiate the service.

We all had breakfast and Damon came to Italy with his parents. I was happy to see them because I hadn’t seen them for a while.

After waiting for everyone to get ready, it was finally time to leave for the church. I left with my sisters and Nessa in one car while the rest of the family members used the other cars.

The ride to the church was awkwardly quiet. Everyone was grieving and silent. We finally got to the church and made our way to the front pew.

Uncle Lucas and Uncle Vincent also came to Italy for the funeral. The priest was at the podium was saying some stuff but I wasn’t paying attention.

My mind wandered back to my mum and all the memories I had of her while she was alive. I couldn’t believe she was gone. I was deep in my thoughts and didn’t notice when I started crying.

As soon as I saw a teardrop, I quickly wiped it off with my hands
