CHAPTER 55 : ARREST WARRANT DENIED.

Detective Mason walked into Lieutenant Davis' office, confident and determined. "Sir, I've submitted the arrest warrant and evidence for the attempted murder case. I believe we have enough to bring the suspect in."

Lieutenant Davis looked up from his desk, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "Mason, I've reviewed your submission. I'm afraid the warrant has been denied."

Detective Mason's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? Why? The evidence is solid, sir."

Lieutenant Davis leaned back in his chair. "The Commissioner has decided that we don't have enough to proceed. You need to focus on other cases, Mason. This one is going nowhere."

Detective Mason felt a surge of frustration. "But sir, this case is crucial. The victim is still in critical condition. We can't just drop it."

Lieutenant Davis' expression turned stern. "I'm telling you, Mason, drop it. If you continue to pursue this case, you'll be putting your job at risk. The Commissioner is not happy with your persistence."
