Saturday morning dawned bright and sunny, filling their serene bedroom with warmth. Amelia slept peacefully, nestled in Nelson's loving arms, her pregnant belly a testament to their growing family. Suddenly, a sharp, stabbing pain pierced her abdomen. She screamed, jolting awake, her body tensing in agony. Nelson's eyes snapped open, alarm etched on his face."Babe! What's wrong?" he exclaimed, panic rising.Amelia clutched her stomach, her face contorted."Pain...so much pain," she gasped, breathless.Nelson sprang into action and he called 911. Rushed Amelia to the hospital, fear gripping his heart."What's happening?" Amelia whispered."I don't know, but help is on the way," Nelson reassured. At the hospital, doctors rushed Amelia into emergency.Tests revealed the unthinkable. "Here's your order, ma'am. Cappuccino with extra milk," Amelia Roberts said to a middle-aged woman standing in line ahead of her."Thank you for your patience. Here's your change," she added."Thank you so much, dear," the woman replied. "You can keep the change as a tip for a job well done.""Thank you so much, ma'am. Please come back again," Amelia said to the woman, flashing her a beautiful smile before she walked out the door onto the street.Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm went off, indicating that it was time for Amelia to end her shift and go home."Hey, Amie," Dianna said as she walked towards Amelia, carrying her small backpack. Dianna and Amelia were best friends who met at the coffee shop three years ago. They worked side by side every day, and because of this, they grew closer to each other. They would always walk home together every evening.Just like every other evening, this one was no exception. Dianna came to look for Amelia so they could walk home together. "Amie," as sh
Closing the door and dropping her keys on the counter, Amelia lazily dragged herself up the stairs to her room."Hey, Mom," Amelia said to her mother, who was in the kitchen preparing dinner for the family."Hello, dear, welcome back," her mother replied."Just go freshen up and come down for dinner; I'm sure you must be tired from the day's shift," her mother added."Yes, Mom, I'm really tired. I'll be down when dinner is ready," Amie replied, already halfway up the stairs.Entering her room and closing the door behind her, she flung her bag onto the bed and headed straight for the bathroom to take a very hot bath. Amelia had always been the kind of girl who loved silence and music; she also loved reading novels, and her escape was always her bathroom. She loved to sing too, and this is why she took so long in the bathroom; it made her feel safe and noticed. Putting on her bathrobe and her bathroom slippers, she headed for the bathroom when she heard a knock on the door."Come in, Br
“With that been said, I’ll love to retire to my bed now. I need to sleep, I have a very long day tomorrow” Amelia said clearing off the plates from the table into the kitchen.“Wait up sis, I have something that I wanna discuss with you” Brie said to Amie. “ Oh alright then, I could spare a few minutes of my beauty sleep time” Amie replied. “Meet me in my room when you’re done washing the plates” She added. “Alright sis, thank you” Brie replied as she walked into the kitchen to wash the dishes. Few minutes later, Bridget was already done doing the dishes when one of her younger brothers stopped her to speak with her. “Hey big sis, can you spare me few minutes of your time?” Micah asked. “Yeah sure. What’s up?” She replied. “Well, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but ever since you’ve been coming to pick us from school, there has always been a different note placed underneath my locker every single day” Micah said“ I don’t understand. What do you mean?” Brie asked. “ What I’m t
As at 5am in the morning, Amie’s alarm rang and she got up to do her house chores and cook for the family. As soon as she woke up, she dashed to the kitchen to pick up the sweeping brush and began sweeping the whole house. After forty-five whole minutes she was done sweeping, she went into the kitchen to start cooking. It was a Saturday morning and she had already thought of the food to prepare before she went to bed the previous night so it wasn’t hard for her to know what to cook. She had decided to task herself and prepare everyone’s best meal at least to make everybody happy, so she picked up two big pots and started the preparation for the cooking. As challenging as this idea was, she tried as much as possible to be quite enough so as not to wake anybody up. It took her two hours to finish cooking and set the table before going to have her bath. “All done” Amie said to herself feeling very fulfilled that she was able to pull her idea of preparing everyone’s favorite dish for brea
“Drive straight to the office. I have a meeting in twenty minutes” Nelson said to Henry, his driver.“Yes sir” Henry replied, starting the engine and zooming out of the compound, driving straight to the office.Nelson is the most eligible bachelor in the whole of Toronto, and of course the CEO of Rodriguez Autos. He is always so busy with work, you would rarely see him go for events, if it’s not a business dinner or a production he’d rather pass. Asides from the tough aura he always has to put on, he is a very emotional and caring person. Growing up, he has always been very affectionate. His dad used to domestically abuse his mom for years until he passed away on Nelson’s twenty-second birthday. Anytime his dad beats his mum, Nelson would always be the one to pet his little brother Andrew and most times have to clean his mother's wounds. This always broke his heart but he couldn’t confront his dad until this very day when Nelson had walked off his guests after the party was over. Upon
Walking into the mall, Amelia walked straight to the section for female office wears to select and try on new clothes suitable for her job description. She didn’t want to look too cheap, this is why she had started saving money since Bridget was in her senior year so that she’d be able to afford quality wears for herself when she eventually gets an office job. So she went to the quality section and chose a number of short straight skirts, shirts, gowns, and office trousers. She also bought dinner gowns for herself because she knew she’d definitely be following her new boss to several dinners when she eventually starts the job.“I’d like to pay for all these please” Amie said to the cashier after getting all the wears she wanted to get. “Alright ma’am please give me your card so I can ring it for you” The cashier replied stretching out her hand to collect the card from Amie and placing it into the machine for payment. “All done ma’am, thanks for your patronage. Here are your things.
