CHAPTER 63: THE TRAIL

The police arrived at James's office, their sirens blaring as they pulled up to the building. Officers poured out of the vehicles, handcuffs at the ready.

"James Wilson, you're under arrest for domestic violence, abuse, and business misconduct," Officer Johnson declared.

James's face contorted in rage as he stood up from his desk.

"This is ridiculous!" James shouted.

Officer Johnson remained calm. "Turn around, Mr. Wilson, and put your hands behind your back."

James hesitated, but the officers closed in. They handcuffed him and read him his rights.

At the police station, James was booked and charged. His lawyer scrambled to post bail, but Judge Thompson denied it.

"No bail for Mr. Wilson," Judge Thompson said firmly. "He's a flight risk and a danger to the community."

As James sat in his cell, his empire continued to collapse. Investors sued him, partners abandoned him, and his reputation was left in shambles.

With James behind bars, Nelson and Anna breathed a sigh of relief. As
