CHAPTER 61: THE ARREST

Detective Mason and his team surveilled Beverly's residence, monitoring their every move.

Inside, Beverly and Christian huddled around a map, plotting their next move.

"Sam's school is on the outskirts of town," Christian whispered. "We can grab him during recess."

Beverly's eyes gleamed with malice. "Amelia will do anything to protect her brother."

Just as they finalized their plan, Mason's team burst through the door.

"Freeze! Police!" Mason shouted.

Beverly and Christian exchanged panicked glances.

"You're under arrest for the kidnap of Bridget Roberts, the attempted murder of Miss Amelia Roberts, the conspiracy to commit kidnapping Sam Roberts and the embezzlement crime" Mason announced.

As officers handcuffed them, Christian snarled, "You'll never prove it."

Mason smiled grimly. "We have enough evidence. Your plan to frame James won't work."

Beverly's face crumbled. "No...this can't be happening."
