Marcus POV
I let go of my hands in surprise. When I looked at Roberta again, I found that she was still in a deep sleep, and that all that had just happened was an illusion. It was as if this vision became a reflection of my heart, as if Roberta felt deeply my intentions for her.
I sighed and sat cross-legged on the edge of the bed. Looking at her who is still asleep, her inner emotions are unspeakably complicated. But just as Dixon had predicted, I always felt a strange calm when I was around her. As the link between us strengthened, I felt my werewolf powers returning.
Perhaps it is a long time from our mate side to get comfort, just like now lying beside her, it has made my body and mind feel very comfortable. I looked at Roberta's sleeping face, and unconsciously I was gradually swallowed up by the trapped feeling.
When I opened my eyes again, I saw that my eyes were in ruins, just as I remembered them from my childhood. I looked down at myself again, my hands covered with blood and dust, my little body wrapped in torn clothes. It dawned on me. I'm supposed to be in a dream again. Only this time the dream was more clear than usual, as if I stood up and watched the whole story happened again in front of me .
Then behind me came the roar of the wolves again, they incarnate in the shape of wolves, straight towards me. My instinct for survival forced me to start running again.
Just like before, just like I saw in all my dreams.
In the same way, I found once again the familiar ruins in which I had used my childhood to hide. I bent down, curled my legs, and held my breath tightly. The old men searched the place but could not find me, so they left.
I breathed a sigh of relief and continued to wait where I was. Those familiar little hands came to my rescue. But I waited there for a long time, and the girl did not come as expected. On the contrary, this dream influenced my ending in a completely different direction.
I hid in place for a long time, still no one to help me, so I went out. What I saw at the moment was completely different, my pack was in chaos, people were running everywhere, and no one was even resisting. What was once my home has become a complete mess. Soon, as if I had been caught in a trap, I took a few steps out and was caught by the rogue gang. They forced me to a simple stronghold, where I met my parents.
I had never been this far in my life before, so I was stunned by what I saw. They were so tightly bound by rogue that they seemed to have fallen into a coma.
But what follows is also what I don't want to see. Some rogue picked them up and wiped their necks right in front of me. They didn't move. They didn't struggle. There was no answer to my cries, only the cries of my young voice and the derision of the rogues.
No matter how much I cried, it didn't help.
"What's the hurry? It'll be you soon." A tall and strong rogue, I suppose him to be the leader, wipes the blood from his knife and walks towards me impatiently.
My blood froze and I began to struggle to wake up from this terrible nightmare. My eyes were dark. Luckily, when I opened my eyes again, I was still in my bedroom, with Roberta asleep in bed.
I broke out in a cold sweat. I never thought this dream would take off like this. And the girl who was supposed to save me didn't show up. Before I knew it, a sharp pain came through my body, and Dixon felt the pain at the same time.
"Marcus, what happened?" Dixon gritted his teeth. "Your dreams changed."
"I can't explain it," I tried to calm my breathing rhythm, and what had just happened in the dream was so real that I almost thought it was real.
"Maybe Roberta has changed." Dixon sounded a little uncertain.
Roberta? What will happen to her? Her strength was too weak to restore herself, what else could she do?
"Either way, it's not a good sign." I looked again at the girl lying on the bed, still asleep.
This dream is like a foreknowledge of the life path I never had, if there was no girl, maybe I would no longer exist in this world.
At this point, I heard Roberta muttering my name, and I couldn't help but bend over to her ear with curiosity. Roberta was whispering my name, but she was saying something else, and I moved closer.
"Marcus, have you thought about that? What are the consequences for you?"
When I heard what she said, I was shocked and couldn't help taking two steps back. Roberta fell back into a deep sleep after saying this, but I was still in it.
Next to the panic came a sudden surge of disgust from nowhere. Where did Roberta get this information? Did she dismiss it all as ignorance? Doesn't that make me a mean clown? I hurriedly grabbed my phone and called Zora.
'What is it?
"Are you home now?"
"Yes, what happened?"
"I'll be right over."
My hands were even shaking slightly when I hung up the phone, and the sudden change threw me off my pace for an instant. Damn it, I'm a little desperate already. Picking up the clothes, I rushed out of the door without looking back.
Roberta POV After fainting due to weakness, I seemed to fall into a deep dream. As the only daughter of the Alpha of the Twilight Pack. My destiny was destined from childhood to live for the interests of the tribe. Every day of life is full of responsibilities and sacrifices, and I have long been accustomed to it. Before I married Marcus, I never thought that love would become a part of my life. I felt a warm embrace. In my blurred vision, Marcus seemed to be taking care of me carefully. He gently stroked my cheek and murmured something. I tried to struggle to open my eyes to see if this man who was once indifferent and ruthless to me had really changed. Memories came flooding back. The first time we met was on a summer afternoon. At that time, Marcus was a funny and gentle young werewolf, and his smile was as warm as the sun. That day, I got lost in the forest. Just when I was panicked, he appeared in front of me, took my hand, and led me back to the tribe. "What's your na
Roberta POVAs I gradually came to my senses, Marcus's attitude quickly turned cold, and his gaze was as sharp as an icy blade, piercing my heart. I tried to sit up, but my weakness made it difficult for me to move. The light in the room was still dim, and I knew for sure that Marcus was no longer the person I had imagined him to be.Over time, Marcus's attitude towards me only got worse. He began to make me do menial tasks that only Omegas were supposed to do, such as sweeping the floor, cleaning the stables, and even preparing food for the wolf pack. I knew that these tasks were a huge burden on my body, but I had no choice but to bear them in silence. The heavy work made me exhausted, but I gritted my teeth and refused to show weakness in front of him. Whenever I was alone, I would recall our past happy moments and the warm moments we shared, which sustained me through each difficult day.One day, as I was kneeling on the ground wiping the floor, Marcus suddenly appeared in front o
Roberta POVI gasped in pain. "You're crazy.""I'm already crazy." There was a subtle smile on Marcus's lips.My soft body was pressed into his arms, my earlobes were licked and played by his mouth, his breath stained my ears vaguely, stimulating my tired skin that craved comfort. Marcus put his hand under me, and I heard my own breathing increase, and Marcus's breathing in my ear gradually becoming heavy. My breathing trembled as Marcus brushed his fingernails against my skin and smiled happily. Marcus grabbed my hand to unbuckle his belt, and I couldn't help but lift myself up and rub my shirt against his chest. Marcus swiped his hand away from my waist behind his back, biting my ear in a charming whisper, laughing at me for being so obedient. The smell of his breath and the damp sensation on my cheeks from his mouth made me swallow. Marcus rolled up on my palm and made my fingers curl in a circle around my waist, wetting my clothes and body. The smell of the bodily fluids that enve
Roberta POVAfter Marcus left the dungeon, I felt I had regained some of my strength, but the cloud lingered. Every time he shows up, he brings more threats and pain, and all I can do now is grit my teeth and hold on.A few hours later, the dungeon door opens again and Marcus enters, this time with no food, but a pair of handcuffs in his hand. His expression was still cold and there was a sense of determination in his eyes."Stand up," he ordered, his voice cold.I struggled to get up, still weak, but I knew I couldn't show any weakness in front of him. He came over and quickly placed the handcuffs around my wrists, the cold metal touch sending a chill through my heart."Where are you taking me?" I demanded, trying to hide my fear."This is to prevent you from escaping," he replied coldly, with no regard for my feelings, "and if you make any attempt to escape, not only you, but your whole pack will be punished."I gritted my teeth and stared at him angrily. "Do you think that's going
Roberta POVOn the first day of my freedom, I decided to go out. The sunlight outside was blinding, and I had a hard time opening my eyes. The long absence of freedom made me feel strange, but I knew that every minute was precious. Despite my still weak body, I decided to try to raise funds for my wolf pack as soon as possible. The handcuffs had been removed, but the sense of restraint in my heart was still heavy.I went straight to my room, which was a private room just for me. Marcus had never cared about my life at home. I opened my computer and tried to check my account balance through online banking. When I entered my password, a cold and impersonal message appeared on the screen: "Account has been frozen." The sense of unease in my heart instantly grew, and I immediately realized that this must have been Marcus's doing. He not only imprisoned me, but also cut off all my economic ties to the outside world.Anger boiled within me, and I picked up my phone and dialed Marcus's numbe
Roberta POVAlston took me back to the Twilight Pack from the hospital, silent and seemingly thinking. I sat quietly beside him, full of contradiction and confusion. When I entered the Twilight Pack, I felt a familiar and strange atmosphere, a place where I used to live, but now with different emotions.Alston led me to my own room, which was almost identical to the one I had lived in, and seemed to be cleaned every day. It was simple and comfortable. He motioned for me to sit down, walked to the window, looked out into the distance for a long time, and then said, "Roberta, your condition is worse than I thought."I listened in silence, expecting it, but it made me feel heavy to hear him say it himself."Marcus's control is not limited to physical bondage, but deeper psychological repression and oppression."Alston turned, his eyes penetrating. "You're in a very dangerous state if you continue like this."I frowned, ambivalent: "I understand, but I can't just give up." And Marcus won't
Roberta POVIt had been some time since I returned home, and my father began to delegate some of the responsibilities of managing the pack to me again. What upset me the most was that Marcus didn't react to my behavior, he didn't even send someone out to look for me. It was like a knife hanging over my head, ready to fall and cut my neck. The early morning sun shone through the mist on the trees, ushering in a new day. I went out for a break, standing on the high ground on the edge of town, looking out over the forest and mountains in the distance, my mind wandering in Alston's confession. The conversation that morning was like a sudden storm that disturbed my inner peace."Roberta," Alston's voice rang behind me, and I turned, his blue eyes with an indescribable firmness, "there's something I've been wanting to say to you."My heart was tight, vaguely guessing what he was going to say, but I chose to face it. "What is it, Alston?"He took a deep breath as if preparing for the words h
Roberta POVEver since that day when I passed out after seeing Marcus, I haven't been out much. There were a lot more attacks in the Pack, and the number of injured werewolves gradually increased, and Alston could no longer accompany me all day as before, and he had to go to the hospital every day.I always felt that this had something to do with Marcus, and my heart was full of anxiety and doubt. Over the past few days, my father, Aaron, had been in a state that was vaguely troubling to me. He seemed weaker than ever, his face pale, his eyes tired."Roberta," my father's voice said from behind me, and I turned to see him walking slowly toward me. His step was still firm, but I could see that he was trying to hide his discomfort."Father," I said, approaching him and looking anxiously at him, "you don't look well. Do you need a rest?"My father shook his head and forced a smile. "I'm fine, Roberta. It's just pack business."I knew he didn't want me to worry, but I couldn't contain my
