Where could Laura have gone?

Marcus stared at the paths, and tried making himself to be calm. He wasn’t sure about where she had gone, which path she had taken or if she was even safe.

He tussled his hair, and tried to focus. It was hard to do that. The last time she had being lost, he had barely known a thing about her. There was only thing that had made sense, that she was his mate. But, this time, it was different.

He had learnt to be comfortable with her, laugh with her, and touch in ways he had never imagined he would touch a woman. He didn’t know what he could do to focus on finding her.

The worst was his wolf. He was antsy, and he could feel it so strongly. It made it difficult to concentrate on anything.

“Where did you go, Laura?” He asked out loud.

Marcus took a shaky breath. He stared at the woods around him. There was only way out of the whole thing, and that was to let his wolf take over. He didn’t want to shift into his wolf, so he thought like one.
