Chapter 5

His father was hardworking yet he has no time for Nathan since he was a baby. His father's mind was in his company.

So, Nathan grew up with and without a father.

He sighed again and stood up.

He opens the door of dreams and travelled on someone's dream.

IT WAS a tiring day for Nicole. But since she promised Third that she'll come to their reunion with his mother, she went inside their bathroom and took a shower.

After taking a shower, she wore a red lace dress and white stilettos.

"Where are you going?" Nicole's mother asked.

"On Third's house. His mother will come home tonight," she replied and then picks up her bag on the couch.

"You're going to be late?" It asked again.

"Nope, I'll go home early. I'll just meet his mother because he told me that his mother wants to meet me. After that, I will go home since Third know that I had a hectic schedule lately," she explained.

"That's right. Make yourself busy so you can't Lucid dream anytime you want. I told you, Lucid dreaming is bad for your health. Don't abuse your power. Don't fool yourself with your fantasies. Maybe in the pursuit of your fantasy, you will be overwhelmed and you won't be able to get out of the world of dreams," her mother reminded her again by using her ability.

Her mother was right at some point but in her inner self, she promised that she'll never use it for bad or abuse her ability. She promised to limit her ability but when it comes to Jacob, she couldn't stop herself from imagining and dreaming about both of them.

Because she knew, she still loves Jacob and Kate was right. She felt pain when Jacob and Kate were together. She was supposed to be on Jacob's arm and not Kate's.

She wants to move on but how she can?

How can she move on if she sees Jacob all the time? How can she forget the man who once made her heart beat if she always works with him? How can she forget it if she still thinks about it? So she thought of a way to stop being sad and dream about that man.

She knows that there is no hope for him and Jacob to get back together because he loves Kate. And she knows more and more that Jacob will never come back to her because he doesn't love her anymore.

She looks at her mother and nods her head.

"Yes, mom. I won't abuse my ability and I won't Lucid dream anymore. I want to move with Jacob so I shouldn't think about him anytime, anywhere," she answered.

"That's right. If you want to be free from the love that Jacob left in your being, you must first forget him. Nicole, the heart that remains in love cannot be freed from the pain and curse of the past," her mother said which made him realise that she was so deeply in love with Jacob until now.

She wanted to think of a way to forget Jacob but she thought it would be later when she got home because she had an event to go to.

"Mom, I need to go," she replied to her mom's sentence.

Her mother just smiled at her and nod her head.

She smiled back at her mother and went out of their house.

After a couple of minutes, she was at Third's house.

Third's mother was there and Third introduced her to his mother. After that, she stayed there for a couple of minutes but when she felt that she was tired, she say goodbye to Third's mother.

"Third, I want you to send Nicole to their home," Third's mother said.

"Yes mom, I will" Third replied and smiled at his mother.

He looked at Nicole, "Let's go?" he asked and handed his hand to her.

Nicole accepted it as she respect his mother but when they are alone, she pulled away her hand.

When they are in the car on the way to Nicole's house, Third started to talk.

"Uhm, Nicole?" he started the conversation.

Nicole was shocked that Third called her by her name. He usually cal her BFF or best friend.

Hmm, maybe he changes from being clingy to her to being a casual or ordinary friend. Well, it's okay for her because she knew, there is no permanent in this world except change.

"Yeah?" she replied shortly.

"I want to tell you something," Third said and looked at her quickly. He needs to focus on the road if he doesn't want to go to hell at the very moment.

OMG, does he confess to me that he's gay? :0 Hmm, maybe. But he was not obvious to be gay. :3

"Yes, what it is?" she asked formally and without showing her nervousness.

"Uhm, don't be mad at me okay? And please, if I tell you this, don't push me away or don't stay away from me," he replied that making her eyes widen.

Does he confess that he's gay? :O

"Of-- Of course," she replied and stuttering her words.

"Sure?" it asked twice and she just nods her head.

"I like you," it said directly which made her choke with her saliva.

"Are you okay?" It asked and stop the car on the side of the road.

"Uhm, yeah... just a little bit of shock," she said and then grabbed the bottled water in front of her and drank it continuously.

The awkwardness was surrounded by them when she was done drinking.

"So," Third started to talk but she cut him off.

Uhm, can you please send me home as soon as possible? I am tired and you know it," she said.

"Sure," Third said and nods his head. Third, started the engine of the car and started to drive.

"Uhm, I want to court you, Nicole," Third said directly. His words don't affect her system anymore.

She accepted his words and they sank into her mind.

"When those feelings started?" she asked out of her mind. Just to know how and when Third started to like her.
