Chapter 3

Nicole didn't come with Jacob this time. She just waited for him in his office.

In just a couple of minutes, Nicole used her power again. She fall asleep deeply and started to Lucid dream.

In her dream, she wanted the dream that Jacob had a while ago so she imagine that they were on the Eifel tower taking pictures.

They are very sweet to each other when a man approached them.

She was surprised because she was not familiar with that man. Since it was her dream, she tried to concentrate and erased the man in front of them so that they are not disturbed by the sweetness of the two of them.

But she can't.

She can't erase the man in her dream.

"Uhm, babe? Just wait for me here," she said and smiled at Jacob.

"Sure babe," Jacob replied and sat down on one of the benches.

She walk towards the man and pulled him away from Jacob's direction.

"Who are you?" she asked him while gritting her teeth.

"I'm Jacob's best friend," he replied arrogantly and sat down on the bench near them. Nicole followed him but she never sit down beside the man she doesn't know.

She rolled up her eyes while looking at the man.

"I mean, who are you? Why I can't control you?" she said.

"I am Nathan," Nathan replied and winked at her.

Her head boiled up. This man is getting on her nerves. "Just tell me who are you!" Nicole shouted that making the people around look at them.

"Don't shout and make a scandalous scene here. I had a reputation," Nathan said jokingly.

Nicole rolled up her eyes again. She knew that this is just a dream. This is her dream. So no one will know that she's scandalous.

"I don't care. This is my dream. Just tell me who are you. Why I can't control you

?" she replied.

"I am Nathan. Jacob's best friend. I and Jacob are supposed to meet each other here at Eifel tower," Nathan replied and walked towards the big Ferris wheel and watched it slowly moving clockwise.

"But, since this was your dream, we didn't meet," he added.

Nathan? Jacob's best friend?

Did just Jacob dream about this lately? So, it means that Jacob is talking to this man. The man beside her was Jacob's best friend. But, how did he know that Jacob dreamed about this scene before?

Jacob didn't tell anyone. And How did he not disappear when she tried to erase the man?

"So... you're a Lucid dreamer too? How did you know that Jacob dreamed about this scene before?" she asked confused.

"Nope... I am real," Nathan said while smiling.

"You're... real?" she repeated what Nathan said and seems like shocked.

"Yeah," he answered while still watching the Ferris wheel moving.

"So you're dreaming too? How did you enter my dream? Anyone and any event here is scripted. I mean, I can control them just like Jacob nad just like my status," she explained.

"I'm a dream traveller," he replied shortly.

Traveller? This man is interesting. If he was dreaming too, how can he travel?

"How?" she asked absentmindedly.

Nathan laughed at what she said.

"Next time, I will tell you my story," Nathan said.

She shook her head.

"How did you know that Jacob dreamed about this before? You interrupted our sweet moments. We should take a picture at least here in my dream!" she said while marching.

"Because I travelled in Jacob's dream. Jacob dreamed about the scene where I should meet him here at Eifel tower. But you made this scene. In Jacob's dream, your face was blurred. Because this should happen in real life," Nathan explained.

She was shocked.

So, the woman that Jacob's talking on his dream was her?

Is that true?

"Are you serious? How can I believe in you?" she said and looked intently at Nathan. His face was serious.

"I am serious, Nicole," Nathan said. She was surprised again. How did he know her name?

"Wait--" she couldn't continue her words.

"Ssh... I will tell you how I knew your name when we meet again," Nathan said and turned his back to her.

"NICOLE!"

She heard a familiar voice.

when she opened her eyes, she saw Kate's face.

She stood up immediately and wiped her face.

"Are you dreaming about my boyfriend again?" Kate asked while grinning.

Her eyebrows narrowed.

"Excuse me? Why should I dream about your BOYFRIEND?" she asked and emphasise the word boyfriend.

"Because you're still into him. I can see the pain in your eyes Nicole when we are together. I can see mourning when you see us sweet," Kate answered while still wearing a teasing smile.

"Kate, I am not what you're thinking. I just moved on. I moved on even my best friend stole the only man I love. I moved on even though you both cheated on me. But, remember this, what Jacob did to me when we are together, he will just repeat it to you. If he cheated on me, he will cheat on you too. A cheater will always be a cheater," she explained and picks up her bag.

"Yeah, you're right," Kate said and didn't mind what she said.

"What Jacob did to you, he will do it to me too. But, the way nicer, softer, and harder," Kate said while grinning.

She frowned.

What a bitch. -_-

"Whatever," Nicole said and rolled up her eyes.

She was about to leave her boss' office when Kate pressed her to walk towards the door.

"Don't try to turn your back to me. You're not on my level," Kate said and leave her alone.

"What a bitch," -_-

She sighed and sat back on the chair in front of Jacob's desk.

After a minute of thinking about what she just Kate did, her phone rang.

"Nics?" It was Third, her best friend.

Third was her childhood best friend and they were very close.

"Yup?" she answered.
