Logan’s POV.

I heard something move behind me and I cocked my head to the side, crouching and ready to lunge at the threat.

"Come out right now!" I growled, my claws protruding.

Kane walks out, putting his hands up and bending his neck in submission, showing that he's not a threat and also means no harm.

"Were you trying to sneak up to me?" I asked, sarcastically

"So you can rip my head off? Nah." He chuckled, throwing a pair of shorts at me. "I've been trying to mindlink you, but you blocked me out."

"Apparently, you blocked everyone out because Valerie asked about you, said you weren't responding to her and as the good Beta that I am, I came to check if you're good."

"Thanks man, I'm good." I replied, putting the shorts on.

"How long have you been here? The boys on patrol said you had come back from your run a long time ago."
