Eve’s POV

Ryan and Raven sat on either side of me, exchanging looks so laden with hatred that I couldn't help but burst into laughter. The intensity of their animosity struck me as absurdly comical.

“What's so funny?” Raven asked, irritation evident in his tone.

In response, I heard a low growl escape Ryan's throat, a clear warning for Raven to approach the conversation with more caution. I rolled my eyes at Ryan, dismissing the need for his protective stance.

"I'm laughing at you two. Look at each other; you both desire peace, both want to halt the attacks. Instead of working together and setting aside your differences, you're fighting over me as if the final decision isn't mine," I said, studying their reactions.

"The problem is, I'm not convinced he's not behind the attacks," Ryan retorted, his glare still fixed on Raven.

"Because you don't consider all the possibilities, Ryan. I don't mean to offend you, but momentarily set aside your feelings about Raven and focus on his actions.
