Amy and I decided that meeting up with old friends was enough for today. We were both in a bad mood so we headed to Ryan's office.

I missed him so much, especially now that I saw him less often; I couldn't wait to be with him.

As soon as we entered, however, Amy stood in front of me with her hands on her hips.

"Hey, Alpha Ryan, mind explaining why no one in this whole dang pack knew about you planning to bring back Eve as Luna?" Amy shot straight, with no time for beating around the bush.

Ryan, with his desk cluttered with papers, looked up, and his eyes met mine. I raised an eyebrow at him, a playful spark in my gaze.

"Well, hello to you too, Amy," he said with a half-smile, his eyes holding a warmth that eased the tension in the room.

Amy wasn't going to let him off easy. "I heard you promised to make Eve Luna again once we are here. Well, we are here."

Ryan sighed, a mix of exhaustion and resignation evident in his expression, as he put down his pen and gave us his full attention.
