"You called me," Jackson says as he stands in front of us.
“I want to ask you about something. We'd better go inside the house.” I say and without waiting for an answer I head inside.
Ryan motions for him to follow me and without protest, Gamma follows me into the house.
The air in the room hung heavy with tension as we entered. Jackson usually cocky, now looked scared. I took a deep breath, breaking the silence that enveloped us.
"Gamma," I began, my voice steady but laced with concern, "I want to know everything you know about Cari's behavior in the days leading up to the poisoning two years ago. Every detail could be crucial."
Gamma straightened, his eyes meeting mine. "Eve, I'm not sure why I'm being interrogated about my sister. "
