Heather POV That first night out at the lake was fantastic. Good food, good laughs and good times. Some of the ones that had their wolves shifted and went for a run while the rest of us stayed back and kept an eye on the fire. The only small issue that happened was Jacob, Zane and Dawn getting into an argument. She said that she would explain in the morning. Reed POV “HEATHER!!!” I watch as Heather’s feet slide on the loose dirt at the edge of the cliff. No, no, no, this can’t be happening. Why were we even fighting over her? I lunged for her at the same time as I saw Lucas out of the corner of my eye doing the same. Lucas manages to get a grip on her wrist but her sweater sleeve starts sliding over her hand. Lucas POV As I exit the tent, I see the girls sitting at one of the picnic tables and Quinn, Jacob and Zane at another. There is definitely some tension going on between the two tables. Heather POV When the commotion started on the shore, April, Dawn and I started to make our way out of the water when I got a link from Lucas telling us to stay where we were so as to not get caught in the middle. Heather POVThe Thatcher brothers had done a pretty good job of cooking supper. They made burgers and sausages as well as pulling out the last of the macaroni and potato salad. Heather POVThe rest of the night went by with everyone in good spirits. We danced, we talked, we sang most of us off key, but hey, it was fun and that is all that mattered at the time.Dawn and Zane seemed to be doing Ok, Meg and Quinn were good. April seemed to have forgiven Jacob for whatever he did. She never did tell us. And I didn’t stay mad with the twins. I knew that whatever had happened at the outlook the night before had not been fully them. There was definitely something weird going on in that place. I think Mona may be right in the fact that it has to do with the curse that is on the Alpha family of the Twin Moon pack.
