Heather POVThe Thatcher brothers had done a pretty good job of cooking supper. They made burgers and sausages as well as pulling out the last of the macaroni and potato salad. It wasn’t anything fancy, but hey, I didn’t have to cook it. There wasn’t anyone from the Silver River pack that was staying with us tonight. There were only about twenty or so of us left. The ten of us, along with the Thatcher brothers and a few others. A bunch of the guys had started up a game of volleyball after everything from supper had been cleaned up. I was sitting on the grass watching the game with Dawn when she leaned over and put her head on my shoulder, letting out a big sigh. “Ok what’s up? Even though you said you weren’t mad at Zane anymore, you still haven’t been all that friendly towards him.”She sighs again. “I don’t know if I believed him when he said that he didn’t kiss anyone last night.”“Why? Most of the guys did say that he was with one of them or another when he wasn’t with you. Is the
Heather POVThe rest of the night went by with everyone in good spirits. We danced, we talked, we sang most of us off key, but hey, it was fun and that is all that mattered at the time.Dawn and Zane seemed to be doing Ok, Meg and Quinn were good. April seemed to have forgiven Jacob for whatever he did. She never did tell us. And I didn’t stay mad with the twins. I knew that whatever had happened at the outlook the night before had not been fully them. There was definitely something weird going on in that place. I think Mona may be right in the fact that it has to do with the curse that is on the Alpha family of the Twin Moon pack. I just wish that whatever it was had left me out of it.As we were heading for bed, one of those feelings that I get hit me, I made sure that my phone was close and the app for recording was already open and ready to go. I told Reed and Lucas about the feeling that I had and that if I heard the arguing again tonight, I would wake them up right away. Neither
Lucas POV The next morning was quiet. We had breakfast cleaned and packed up. For the most part, things seemed OK. The three of us didn’t talk about what happened the night before, mainly because we were unsure of it ourselves. The other thing that appeared odd was the tension that was around Quinn and Meg. After how happy they were yesterday, I had no idea what could have happened, but there have been all kinds of weird things going on around the lake lately, so who knows. During the drive back, Reed, Quinn, Levi and I stayed in our own thoughts. We stopped to drop off the Thatcher brothers and their gear as we were getting back into the truck, Reed and I got a link from Mom saying that she had invited Grandma and Grandpa for dinner, hoping that they would be able to translate the recording that Heather had. We had both linked her earlier to tell her about the recording. Neither of us mentioned anything else. After unloading the truck and reloading the Blue Ridge Pack trucks, saying
Heather POV I shouldn’t be letting them do this, that is the thought that goes through my head just before I hear throats being cleared. Oh no. Lucas and Reed quickly move away from me and help me sit up. I notice the scent of my arousal in the air. At the same time, I realize that it’s not just Shane and Mona that are in the room. This is not the first impression I wanted to give their grandparents. They’re going to think I’m like all the other girls that just want to be with an Alpha. I jumped to my feet and ran to my room, closing the door and quickly running into the shower to wash away the smell of my arousal. I’m really starting to think that it is a sign. How many times is it, now that we have been in situations like that and been interrupted? That was by far the most embarrassing of them all. I exit the shower, dry off, towel dry my hair and wrap the towel around my body and start to make my way over to the closet. I noticed Mona and the twins' Grandmother, I don’t even know h
Heather POV “I would like to talk with Reed and Lucas before we have supper, is that Ok?” “Sure Honey, whatever you need to feel better. I’ll send them up.” Mona says as she and Grandma head for the door. I start brushing my hair while I wait for the boys. There was a soft knock on my door as I climbed back onto the bed to sit with my back against the headboard. I call out for them to call in as I get comfy. They slowly enter, closing the door behind them and make their way over to the end of the bed. I motioned for them to take a seat on the bed. Once they were seated, I started. “I just want to make sure you guys understand that I was not embarrassed about what we were doing. It was the fact that I noticed that everyone could tell how much I was enjoying what we were doing. I was also worried that your grandparents would think I was no better than some of the other she wolves that try to get close to you because you are Alphas.” “Oh, Heather they would…” I put my hand to stop Re
Heather POV The smell of the apple crumble that Janice had made for dessert was making my mouth water as I made my way back to the apartment. As I exited the stairway I thought I heard arguing at the other end of the hall like last time when Meg and Quinn had argued. “I told you to stay away from me. How can you even think that I would want to see your fucking face after you f…” the rest of her words faded out as Meg lowered her voice. “Meg, I’m sorry I don’t know what got into me that night.” I heard Quinn respond. “YOU’RE SORRY! Is that all you have to say for yourself? Well FUCK YOU. At least I only have to smell your disgusting scent around here for another week, then you’ll be gone and I will make dam sure I’m not here when you come back.” With that I heard a door slam followed by a yell of frustration and what sounded like someone I’m guessing Quinn punching a wall. I quickly made my way back to the apartment before someone noticed that I had just overheard that fight. I walk
Heather POV We all just sat there in silence digesting what we had just been told when a thought popped into my head. “Reed, what was it you called me?” I asked, gesturing towards my phone. He gave me a look of confusion while shaking his head. “I honestly do not know. I don’t even remember saying it.” I turned to Lucas. “And you?” “The same goes for me. I don’t remember saying it.” He says, looking just as confused as Reed. I felt a tap on my shoulder so I turned to face Grandpa. “Reed called you M’eudail, which means Darling, and Lucas called you Mo leannan, which means My Sweetheart.” I stood up and scanned my gaze over everyone in the room. “If you would all please excuse me, but this is a lot of information to take in. It has also been a very long and, for lack of a better word, exciting weekend. It was very nice to meet you both and hope to see you again.” I said as I gave Grandma and Grandpa each a quick hug. I’m so lost right now. I know all this stuff has something to d
Mona POV “What I know is that her father was born and raised in the Blue Ridge pack as well as his parents. Alpha Sean said that both his and Heather’s bloodlines had been the Alpha and Beta lines since the pack came over from Southern England. It’s her Mom’s side that is what I’m trying to find out more about. What she said about having feelings about things that were going to happen and what she needed to do about them started me thinking, but the picture that Reed took of her eyes.” I pulled a picture out of one of the files that I had printed after I had Reed send me a copy of it. “Oh my Goddess. I have seen eyes like that before. How could I not have seen the resemblance? She is Leanne’s girl.” Ingrid says, looking at John for conformation. “Mom, what are you talking about when you have seen eyes like that before?” Shane asks. “It would have happened when you were sixteen, so that would have made Aaron fourteen. You were both still in the human school since the construction of
