Chapter 5

Nico was cold and aloof by nature if possible his cold aura could possibly compete with that of Xander however, right now looking at his little sister , Nico's eyes had so much warmth he could possibly melt an iceberg .

"Sis " Nico called out to Lana softly , ever since his sister got married .Nico felt as if a huge burden has been lifted off him , Nico wanted to give Lana every happiness in the world however, luck was rotten .They were born as a mistress child and no one loved them .Nico might be older than Lana by two minutes but he was still an eighteen year old young man , he couldn't possibly shake mountains at such young age . Hence, when Lana married Xander . Nico felt that they have been blessed , looking at the fashionable dress that Lana was wearing, Nico can finally set his heart at ease .At least his sister no longer need to worry about her meals and clothing anymore .

"Brother " when Lana called Nico her voice choked, it has been ten years since she last saw him 

"I missed you brother " 

"Silly girl, you saw me two days ago " Nico patted Lana on her head and spoke jokingly .

However; Lana wasn't talking about his present , she was talking about his past .Nico was cold but emotional , when Lana married Xander . Ella 's little brother used this for his gain he would always remind Nico that Lana stole his sister, Ella 's happiness.Nico was a proud individual , how could he let another man say such things about his sister? He made his mind to help Robert, in order to make up to the Rhodes family .In doing so Nico became the dog of Rhodes family. What Nico didn't know was Ella never broke up with Xander she clinged on to him even after the latter got married .Therefore;Robert's claims of Lana stealing his sister's happiness was nothing but a scam .

Nico who was not a part of high society never knew of this , he thought as long as he helped Robert, he could make up for happiness that Ella lost , in such a way Nico who had the chance to become a famous movie star became a lowly assistant for Robert . However no matter how good Nico was if Robert was going to find trouble on his own then what could Nico do? Robert highly perverted , lustful and a gambling maniac . The higher his success went the higher his obsession with gambling and prostitution went . And one day this racket of Robert was exposed but how could Rhodes family let their son to be sent to jail? They made Nico their scapegoat .

Nico was sacrificed for saving Robert , Lana begged to Xander to save her brother but the Xander of past never looked twice at her way , not to mention he always spent most of his time with Ella, therefore ; it was easy for Ella to brainwash Xander and made him believe that Nico was infact the one who was behind everything .

Thus,Xander refused to help Lana in saving Nico , Lana could only make frail attempt in seaking justice for her brother but in front of Rhodes family and Xander , her efforts were pointless . Nico was sentenced to life time prison .

Now, that Nico was standing in front of her how could Lana be not emotional ,?

"Lana?" Nico felt that something was wrong with Lana but what , he didn't know .

"Brother, I'm alright " Lana voice was hoarse therefore Nico didn't believe her but when Lana said she was alright , he couldn't possible probe if his sister didn't want to tell him what was wrong .

"I see, do you want to say something? " Lana hardly called Nico to have lunch with her and when she did she wanted something from him but Nico who wanted to spoil his sister didn't mind it at all.

"Mhmm, I heard director William , will be coming next week .Brother,I want you to give your all and take that role "

Director William was highly respected in film industry , in previous life Robert took advantage of her brother and stole many roles from Nico . This role was no different; however the previous roles were for small budget film but Director William was diffrent . When Robert took this role in his past life even if his acting was sub par , he was able to gain a lot of fame .But Lana didn't want it to happen again, she knew that Nico was much better than Robert or else he wouldn't have been selected as a scholarship student in imperial college .

"You..Did you hear something? Does ..Does your husband treats you well?" Nico had been giving in to Robert's will for two years all for his sister's happiness .However, His sister never said anything before because Xander treated her well but just two days after her marriage Lana was asking him not to help Robert and snatch the role from him . What was the meaning of this? 

What did Xander do ? 

At Nico's questions Lana eyes turned red truth be told she acting but if didn't act like a bullied child her brother wouldn't understand the intensity of the situation .

" He ...He has a girlfriend!" 

Xander was prominent member of society therefore she and Nico cannot speak his name so casually they could only say 'he ' or 'husband' 

Boom* 

Nico mind exploded, it was as if somebody has sledge hammered him . 

"What .? Didn't they broke up ?" Nico was certain that Robert promised that as long as Nico helped him .His sister wouldn't make life hard for Lana and back off from being in relationship with Xander . 

Nico was really naive how could small roles in films compare to Xander? He was the top of the cream .Unless a woman was mentally unwell , she will never break up with him .

"Brother how can I lie to you ? That woman ,Ella comes to our house everyday .She was even part of our wedding! Brother, I'm so wronged ! if they were in relationship why did Xander married me? he hates me because of that woman but am I not a victim too? Brother, your sister is getting bullied!" 

To make her act realistic Lana even covered her face and started sobbing .She only have this one chance , she needs to make her brother hate the Rhodes family! 

Sure enough when Nico saw his little sister crying he felt a wrenching pain in his heart and he hurriedly pulled Lana in his arms . He never thought that Robert would lie to him like that , what hasn't Nico done for Robert ? he has given each and every role that could easily be his to Robert ! But The latter went back on his words! 

"Sshhh, don't cry .Brother will avenge you !" 

"How ..he isn't someone brother can face right now !" 

Lana looked up her face glistening with tears , what she said was really a low blow to Nico but Lana was correct .Nico wasn't even a part of high society much less a match for Xander .If he was even a bit powerful than Lana wouldn't be bullied by those hateful people ! 

"Don't worry,brother promises just wait for a few years . I will surely make those who hurt you pay back !" Nico sincerely vowed, he was really a fool just believing in a stranger's words and for never asking His sister about the matter .If Lana didn't told him that Xander and Ella were still seeing each other ,how long will he be helping Robert for free? a month , an year or a lifetime ? 

Lana nodded in acknowledgment 

"I will be waiting brother " 

yes, she will be waiting .The debts Rhodes Family owned her were too many , just destroying the easy route for Robert's career wasn't enough ! She needs to destroy the entire Rhodes family! 

Ella who was happily accompanying Xander had no idea that she just destroyed her younger brother's film career neither was Robert who was happily sleeping in his dorm carefree , he was sure that Nico was going to help him .

but then again one must attack his enemy when they are least prepared !
