Chapter 6

Lana rubbed her eyes , for the past few weeks she has been working overnight to finish some of her jewellery designs .Don't get her wrong she of course has the talent to make ground breaking perfumes but right now her budget was tight .Apart from the savings that she has from her previous job as a sales girl , she didn't have much money left with her .

Thankfully , she was someone who knew about the future and was well aware of the fashion that was going to be in trend . She tweaked on the ring's design on her laptop. It was a beautiful ring with half moon at one end and a three small stars on the other . Lana was certain that this ring along witg the rest of her designs will definitely earn a good fortune,all she needed was to go and persuade that person .

Once she completed the design of her ring she moved to the jade hair pin , it was three in the morning and her eyes were hurting but she had no more time left .If she missed that man she would miss a lifetime opportunity .Thankfully, she and Xander slept in diffrent rooms or else , she would never be able to complete the draft on time .

Lana who was completely carefree about raising Xander 's suspicions didn't know that , that night her husband returned very late from his meeting from Germany .When Xander saw the light in Lana's room , he frowned and called Abel , the head servant .

"What's the mistress doing , isn't she going to sleep?" Xander checked his watch sure enough it was three in the morning, a young girl like Lana should be asleep .What was she doing , staying up this late ? was she chatting with someone? This thought left a bad taste in his mouth .

"Madam is in her final year of college ; her exams are coming close , she must be studying" Abel had absolute faith in Lana, last time Abel was the one who was responsible for telling Lana that she and his master will not be sharing a room and they both will have separate room for their use . Abel had expected a full blown drama but not only did Lan didn't throw a tantrum ; she even treated him and the entire servants of King 's house with respect and cordially spoke with them .Which was a far cry from that woman Ella who always looked down upon them. Adam who saw his mistress behaving in such a graceful and happy go lucky manner was completely won over ; he will no longer allow anyone to talk bad about his mistress ; even if it was his master! 

When Xander heard Abel , he frowned .From the looks of it ; Abel seems to be won over by that wife of his .

"Studying? what's the point if she didn't paid attention to her studies earlier?" Xander was completely brainwashed by Ella ; Ella kept talking about how Lana was still young but she spent her time following Xander for the past few months,Ella deliberately spoke in such a manner that made Xander feel that even Ella was worried about Lana 's studies .However, Lana who should be worried was wasting her time following Xander .

"Master ? young madam is highly capable young lady.She doesn't need to waste her time studying all day long. I investigated young madam before your marriage master ; she has high IQ and she even won the scholarship in Royal college " Abel who couldn't take Xander bad mouthing Lana ; hurried to explain how capable Lana was .

"Scholarship? Doesn't her father pays for her education?" when Lana and Xander was getting married, Adam Stewart, Lana 's father kept shooting his mouth about how much he cares about his daughter ; Adam didn't knew at that time , that he was shooting himself in foot .

"Him? Master , I think you should read into my report about Young madam .Her father have never even paid any attention to Miss before she married you , He even left Miss and her brother to be raised in Servants cottage.How can a man like him pay for Miss Lana's education?" Abel already knew that Lana 's father must have spoken endearingly in front of Xander therefore he spoke his mind to clear Xander 's doubts .

Xander was really surprised when he heard Abel 's remarks . Abel had ofcourse investigated Lana and prepared a report for him before Xander married Lana but how could Xander read it? He was particularly disgusted by Lana .He felt that Lan has bad intentions regarding King family and therefore that was her reason to save his grandpa . Grandpa Cabel suffered from heart conditions and was not allowed to leave the house without a bodyguard .But the older one gets the more childish he becomes. Grandpa Cabel sneaked out of the house and immediately suffered from a stroke .If not for Lana who was passing by helping Grandpa Cable .Grandpa Cabel might have died of stroke. 

Xander thought that a hefty sum of money was enough to pay for Lana's assistance but who would have known that Grandpa Cabel will stubbornly accept Lana as his grand daughter in law .When Xander refused to marry Lana , Grandpa Cabel adamantly refused to eat his medicine , he even threatened to jump of the house roof if Xander told Lana about him and Ella . And when Ella came to know about it , she deliberately spoke as if she was questioning about Lana 's timely arrival when his grandpa was suffering .

Xander who was already furious with his Grandpa at once became suspicious of Lana. 

From then on he absolutely refused to even see Lana much less read about her info .

Looking at the lit up bedroom Xander was having trouble setting his thoughts in array .Before marrying him Lana was shy and flirtatious , she even gave him those looks of desire that many woman gave him making him despise Lana even more .But after marrying him Lana hardly appears in front of him and even if she does she looked at him strangely .

Xander had no idea how to decipher Lana anymore .

Lana who was working on her jade hairpin design had no inkling that Her husband was starting to doubt her .

She happily closed Her laptop after an hour of work and went to sleep .

Next morning to her surprise; Xander was seated on the dining table with a cup of coffee in one hand and a newspaper in another .

When She came downstairs Xander didn't even looked up from his newspaper ,Lana didn't care about him and Wished Abel .

Today she was dressed in a formal dress thus when Abel saw her he couldn't help but ask

" Miss are you going somewhere ?" 

This question of Abel's caused Xander to look up and a scowl formed on his handsome face .

"Yes I have a meeting " 

Lana answered Abel 

"Man or woman ?" 

Lanawas so surprised that she nearly choked herself on the sip she took of her coffee , never did she thought that Xanderwould ask her this question

"That I believe is not you concern , master King" 

Lana responded coldly to Xander making the atmospher go cold .
