As soon as we make it back down to the underground city, the kids' energy levels begin to drop. They rub sleepy eyes as they slowly traipse back to their house. Even with the energy this low, they are all constantly smiling and even mumbling about what they got to do today. It is going to be a memory that they all share for the rest of their lives.

They all settle in for a nap as my father and I walk into the kitchen area to prepare their lunch. There was more than enough food for everyone to have a nice sized lunch again today. Frank has informed me that while they have dinner together as a pack every night they normally consume the other two meals a day in their own areas. When there is enough food for all three meals.

"So, how did your next meeting with my mother go?" I ask him curiously.

I had planned on giving him more time to broach the subject but it is really hard to continue waiting to hear the story. I feel almost as if I have to know exactly what happened. It seems imperat

    When the children all begin waking up, they file directly into the kitchen. Without instruction they all line up at the sink to begin washing their hands. They do it quickly and quietly. I cannot help but be impressed by how well they are all behaved given that there are so many of them stuck here together."Which ones had mothers that were taken?"     Dante and I worked on final details for my trip to meet with my Coven before dinner. It is imperative that we get them here safely and quickly. If Simonetta were to find out that I was trying to get the girls back to their pack then she would absolutely try to find a way to step in. Even if it was by using the Coven to do her dirty work.     We ended up being so late for dinner that we just skipped it altogether. Might have also been because once we were done I passed out out of sheer exhaustion. Luckily, Amora was there to make excuses for us. I would rather them not think that we were doing what we were actually doing. I wake up with an uneasy feeling in my stomach. Something about the witches leaving to come this way is just not settling well with me. I feel the need to get to them quickly. I let Kevin know that I want the witches to wait for my arrival before leaving but he informs me that they left over an hour ago.     "Wow, that was fast. I had not expected you to find us for at least another hour." Julia says as she rushes forward to hug me. "There are witches lining the route from here to the pack. I took out a couple of pockets of them but we have to move fast." I say looking between Julia and Hazel."I guess we will have to be swift. Any chance that you can get us all to move even faster?" Hazel says as she walks towards me."I am not sure. I would rather not risk it unless I have to. More stress on this baby cannot be a good thing.     As we approach the area the witches are over, I sense some type of disturbance so I have everybody stop. Reaching down to the ground, I run my fingers through the dirt. It is not as packed down as it was before we got here. Either the ground composition is changing, or the witches did something to make sure that we did not try this option. Since I am not a big believer in coincidences when it suits somebody against me, I spread my awareness out further to check for any traps."What is it Laina?" Hazel asks as her and Julia walk up and join me."I am not sure. I think that the witches were being preemptive and did something to the Earth in this area. It is not the same as before."     At the last moment, I slow down to a stop. I do not want to worry the werewolves with the fact that we are close to being surrounded but there is no way through without facing the witches that are waiting for us. As soon as we stop, the witches begin to close rank. They do not know that I am here as they seem to be measuring us the way that they would average witches. Even Aurora is there with them.     Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. She almost crashes into it before she is able to skid to a stop at the last second.     Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults.Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults.     It takes much longer than planned to get the babies ready for travel. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute.     The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep.
