We ended up being so late for dinner that we just skipped it altogether. Might have also been because once we were done I passed out out of sheer exhaustion. Luckily, Amora was there to make excuses for us. I would rather them not think that we were doing what we were actually doing.

I wake up with an uneasy feeling in my stomach. Something about the witches leaving to come this way is just not settling well with me. I feel the need to get to them quickly. I let Kevin know that I want the witches to wait for my arrival before leaving but he informs me that they left over an hour ago. He assures me that he will let Julia know what about my feeling as I rush off to find Dante.

It does not take long to find him using our bond. He is in the main area with half of the pack. Rand is there talking to him while Amora is still in bed and my father is in the discussion with the other two guys. Walking up to them quickly, I bid them a fast hello before getting to the point.

    As we approach the area the witches are over, I sense some type of disturbance so I have everybody stop. Reaching down to the ground, I run my fingers through the dirt. It is not as packed down as it was before we got here. Either the ground composition is changing, or the witches did something to make sure that we did not try this option. Since I am not a big believer in coincidences when it suits somebody against me, I spread my awareness out further to check for any traps."What is it Laina?"     At the last moment, I slow down to a stop. I do not want to worry the werewolves with the fact that we are close to being surrounded but there is no way through without facing the witches that are waiting for us. As soon as we stop, the witches begin to close rank. They do not know that I am here as they seem to be measuring us the way that they would average witches. Even Aurora is there with them.     Simonetta stares at me in anger as she processes what I said. She still does not see werewolves as equals. I can see the gears turning in her eyes as she thinks over what I said to her. There is no way that she agrees with me about being a bully but I want to see how she justifies what I said to her."I am no bully. I am just top of the food chain.     Simonetta thankfully does not try to follow us. I did happen to release the Coven just as we were passing so there is a chance that she was held up by those that used to follow her. They definitely did not seem too pleased with her when we were walking past. "Did you see their faces?" Hazel says as she rushes up to walk next to me. I am unable to stop the giggle that escapes as I glance over at her. This was by far one of the most rewarding punishment that has been handed out by the Goddess.     The walk to the pack territory goes rather smootly after all. We do not encounter any more witches as the next few hours pass. The walk itself goes quickly without being stopped by any others. When we get within a mile of the territory, I feel the Earth responding to a group walking towards us.As they get closer, I prepare myself for who all it could be. It is most likely witches coming to stop us before we get too close to the pack's territory. There is a chance that they were just luring us into a false sense of security so that we would let our guard down before we finally made it to safety.Hurriedly, I cast the illusions back on all of the rescuees so that they are once again hidden in plain sight. If it is the witches I do not want them to be able to see who they are looking for right away.     Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. She almost crashes into it before she is able to skid to a stop at the last second. If she had prepared then she might have been able to use the air that was helping her speed up to me to jump over the wall but instead, she is used to using her other powers for combat and did not make the decision in time.As soon as she begins to stop, I tear down the wall and shift into werewolf form quickly to land on top of her with my teeth to her neck.     Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults.Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults.     It takes much longer than planned to get the babies ready for travel. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute.     The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep.
