Staying the night in the Moon Blessed Witch house was quite the surreal experience. For the first night since I met Dante I stayed in a separate bed without any outside influences. Even when I was staying with Elle it was just so that I could train in order to protect my family. I never really felt like there was much of a choice before then. Knowing that I am not being influenced by anyone or by circumstances makes me feel liberated and quite more at peace about sleeping in this bed alone. I do not feel forced or even as lonely as I might have expected. It might have been more difficult to fall asleep if I was not quite so tired but in all honesty I was asleep before I hit the pillow. Waking up was a little more strange. It is much later than I normally sleep but that is not all that surprising considering my night. I really did not sleep much with all of my nighttime adventures. This will also help to keep all of the witches on their guard knowing that I woke up in my room this mo

I follow Elle to the side of the house and she shows me a small door that leads to a set of stairs going to the basement. Somehow, I have never quite noticed it up until now. I must have walked passed it at least a dozen times without ever seeing it. Going down the stairs, I am first greeted by the darkness in the basement. I am fairly sure that the lights are on down here but the walls and floors are so dark that it is impossible to tell if the lights are on for sure. Why would anybody want to stay in a room that is so depressing?"Who is there?" I hear Morden say from what must be across the room."You know, if your room was a little brighter you would be able to tell without us announcing ourselves. You would actually be able to see us." I point out."Ah, must be the usurper. Not surprised to see you down here. Finally remember me after all of this time?" She asks with disdain."What are you doing down here acting like this? I thought that you were going to help advise me." I tell

"Alright ladies, here is what we are going to do. We have the house done, we have the garden growing strong, so what else is missing?" I ask the witches at large while we are all standing in a circle outside. Some of them throw me dirty looks but nobody tries to answer my question."What I think is missing is some pretty landscaping. Maybe some more flowers or even a nice lake that we can all sit and relax by. I propose that we make this into a friendly competition. We are going to make a gorgeous lake for us all to sit by that has plenty of plant life to keep the water clean. I want some furniture for us to sit on by the lake as well. It better be the most relaxing lake that anybody has ever been to by the time we are done with it." I tell them.One of the witches walks forwards and says snidely, "If this is a competition then why are we all building the same thing? Shouldn't we try to make our own ponds to see who wins?" I try to mingle with the witches while they are eating their pizza. Considering that I am the only one that is not full witch and that eats meat I got a supreme pizza for just me but for some reason some pieces keep coming up missing. Seems odd when I am surrounded by witches but I guess that it is possible that one of them likes meat. After all, Elle did have some jerky hiding in her closet at her old cottage.I walk over to the group that has the pond that I have been eyeballing the most. It is the group with Rosa's granddaughter in it. I still have not officially met her and the others do not know that we have any history at all so I make sure that I do not give anything away as I walk up to her group."Hello, is the pizza okay for everyone? I did not get to ask everybody what they wanted so I just went ahead and ordered pizza." I tell them all. They all nod to me with their mouths full instead of replying. Moving on to the other three ponds. They all have some aspects that I am looking for but are missing others. One is the perfect picture of functionality. It has the right plant life and room for plent of fish. The water is crystal clear and perfect as well. This one is just missing the majestic, picturesque aspect that I would like to see as well. The next one would by all means favor wildlife but the plant life is not quite where I would hope it to be. It is decent to look at as it has some boulders that are placed rather strategically but it is definitely not as pretty as I would like. The last one has this gorgeous black sand that makes the water look darker. There is a decent amount of plant life and a few small boulders surrounding it but still missing something. Overall each team seems to have done a decent job but none of them have quite gotten to the mark. It is going to be difficult to pick a winner as none of them have fulfilled all of the tasks that I set before them. On

"What do you mean I can claim a room? I am staying with Kevin now." She tells me like I have offended her."I know you are but you never know when you either want some time apart or you might find yourself craving the company of some witches. You are a member of my family and you are always welcome here. Even if you only use the room once a year it is yours." I tell her. "I will think on it if you don't mind. I definitely had not planned on staying a single night here ever. I understand what you are saying. It is just that after everything that happened between the witches and me I do not see myself spending much time here ever. There were a few witches that were in training with me that I thought were rather decent though." The witches are all distracted with gossip when I leave the kitchen again. I have no idea what else I could do with the witches to keep them busy for the rest of the day so I guess it is time to head back to the pack for a while. I smile and wave to a few of the witches as I pass by. Some of them seem to actually want me to stay while I can tell that Rosa and her crew are more than happy to see me leave for the afternoon.Rushing back to the packhouse, I realize that it is already about dinner time. I slept in so late after my night that the day is just flying by. I am really excited to see Dante after spending the night apart and practically the entire day today as well. I have so many things to tell him after the day that I had today.All of the boys will be done with training tomorrow except for the one that has to stay an extra day. "What do you mean, witch's council? I did not realize that they had one." I tell her in shock."Of course we do. Somebody has to be able to make sure that all of the Covens are falling the rules that keep us witches safe. They must have learned that you took over the Coven. Hopefully they do not know of your other heritage yet." She tells me."I take it that that would be bad?" I say to her."Yes, very. They will try to determine if you are a threat or not or if you really are blessed by the Moon Goddess. You will not be able to take them all on the way that you did with Morden. They are much stronger than the entire Coven combined. "That sounds rather ominous. I guess that would explain how it got into my bathroom without anybody noticing.
