I follow Elle to the side of the house and she shows me a small door that leads to a set of stairs going to the basement. Somehow, I have never quite noticed it up until now. I must have walked passed it at least a dozen times without ever seeing it.

Going down the stairs, I am first greeted by the darkness in the basement. I am fairly sure that the lights are on down here but the walls and floors are so dark that it is impossible to tell if the lights are on for sure. Why would anybody want to stay in a room that is so depressing?

"Who is there?" I hear Morden say from what must be across the room.

"You know, if your room was a little brighter you would be able to tell without us announcing ourselves. You would actually be able to see us." I point out.

"Ah, must be the usurper. Not surprised to see you down here. Finally remember me after all of this time?" She asks with disdain.

"What are you doing down here acting like this? I thought that you were going to help advise me." I tell
