Selena didn't doubt his words for a second. "Okay! I was just about to leave anyway."

Rufus rolled up his sleeves and checked his watch. "It's almost lunchtime, want to grab lunch together?"

Naturally, Selena couldn't refuse the offer. "Okay."

Rufus opened the car door and gestured for her to get in with his eyes.

Just as Selena was about to bend down, she suddenly heard someone calling her name. She looked up and saw Abigail stepping out of a parked car.

A slight frown appeared on Selena's face, and a sense of unease washed over her.

Abigail hurriedly walked over, calling out to Selena, but her eyes were fixated on Rufus.

"What do you want?" Selena took the initiative to ask.

Abigail snapped out of her daze and reluctantly tore her gaze away from Rufus. "Why did you come to my house?"

"I heard that Grandma wasn't feeling well, so I came to visit her."
