Lycan’s POV

I sat in my office, staring at the photo of Daisy and me from the dinner event. It looked perfect on the outside. But deep down, I knew something was wrong.

She wasn’t in love with me.

Not yet.

She still cared about Dickson. I could see it in her eyes every time his name came up.

And that was a problem.

Just then, the door suddenly creaked open. I looked up, surprised to see Rosa walking in.

She wore a red dress and had a cold smirk on her lips.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

Rosa closed the door behind her. “Relax, Alpha Lycan. I came with a proposal.”

“I’m not interested.”

“You will be, once you hear it.” She sat down in front of me. “We both want the same thing. Daisy is gone.”

My brows furrowed. “I don’t want her gone.”

Rosa tilted her head. “Really? Then why haven’t you told her about your real family? Why haven’t you told her that you’re already married?”

I froze.

She smirked. “Exactly. You’re not clean either. So let’s not pretend you’re the good guy here.”

“What do you want?” I asked.

“I want Daisy out of the picture. You want her to yourself. So let’s help each other.”

I stayed quiet, waiting.

“I’ll keep Dickson distracted,” Rosa said. “You take Daisy far away. Somewhere no one can find you. Marry her quickly, have the wedding in private, then leave. Start fresh with her and the kids. That’s what you want, right?”

“And what do you get?” I asked.

She laughed softly. “I get peace. I get revenge. And I get to watch Dickson suffer.”

She slid a file across the table. “These are locations far from Ridgewood. Remote, quiet, perfect for starting over.”

I didn’t open it. “Why are you helping me?”

“Because Dickson chose Daisy. Again. And I’m tired of being second.”

I leaned back. “What if she doesn’t say yes?”

Rosa grinned. “She will. I’ll make sure of it.”

I will make sure I frustrate the hell out of her, for her to agree.

Daisy’s POV

I walked into Lycan’s office the next morning, planning to talk about the project in Ridgewood, but he looked different—tense, serious.

“Hey,” I said. “Something wrong?”

He stood up, walked toward me, and held my hands. “Daisy, I want you to marry me.”

I blinked. “What?”

“I know it’s sudden,” he said, “but I’ve never been more sure of anything. I want to give you and the kids a real family. A fresh start. Away from everything.”

“I… Lycan, this is too fast.”

“You said you were done with Dickson. I believe you. So let’s prove it.”

I paused. “But what about my work? The kids’ school? Everything here?”

“We can start all over again from scratch you know. Anywhere. I’ll support you. I already have a plan. A house, a school, everything. Just say yes.”

I pulled my hands away. “Can I think about it?”

He nodded, but his smile didn’t reach his eyes. “Of course. But don’t wait too long.”

Rosa’s POV

Later that night, I planned to spill everything to Dickson, I will make sure I kill all the feelings he had for Daisy.

I met Dickson near the edge of the woods.

He looked tired. Confused.

“She’s planning to marry Lycan,” I said.

His eyes snapped to mine. “What?”

“They’re moving far away. Getting married in secret. She’s leaving you for good.”

Dickson shook his head. “No. She wouldn’t—”

“She’s done with you, Dickson,” I whispered. “But I’m not.”

He looked at me, and for a moment, I saw pain in his eyes.

“I’m sorry, Rosa,” he said softly. “But I don’t love you.”

I nodded slowly. “I know. But you’ll come back to me. You always do.”

He walked away, and I let him. But the smile on my face didn’t fade.

Because I still had one more move left to play.

Daisy’s POV

It was a cozy morning, and I found an envelope on my desk.

No name.

Inside was a letter.

“You are not safe with Lycan. Ask him what he’s hiding. Ask him about his daughter.”

My heart beats so fast. I stared at the words, my fingers trembling.

He had a daughter?

Why didn’t he tell me?

I rushed to his office.

“I need to ask you something,” I said.

“Anything,” he replied, smiling.

“Are you married?”

His smile froze. For a Moment he knew his secret, has been revealed.

“No,” he said too quickly.

“Do you have a daughter?”

Silence.

I stepped back. “Lycan?”

He sighed. “Yes. I was married. Once. A long time ago. And I have a daughter. But she passed away.”

“You lied to me.”

“I didn’t lie. I just didn’t want to lose you.”

Tears welled in my eyes. “I trusted you.”

“I’m still the same man who wants to love you. Who wants to raise your children.”

“I need time,” I whispered and walked out.

Dickson’s POV

I got the message from Rosa.

They’re getting married this weekend.

I drove straight to Daisy’s place.

She opened the door, surprised.

“Dickson?”

“I need to talk to you.”

“Again! I don’t think—”

“Please. Just five minutes.”

She let me in.

“I heard you’re marrying Lycan,” I said.

She looked down. “It’s none of your business.”

“Maybe not. But I still love you.”

“That doesn’t change what you did.”

“He’s hiding things. Things that could hurt you. Don’t trust him.”

“And I’m supposed to trust you?”

I stepped closer. “I never stopped loving you. And I know the kids are mine.”

She stared at me, shocked.

“I’m not leaving without you,” I whispered.

She turned away, tears in her eyes.

“You don’t get to come back now and pretend like you care.”

“I’ve always cared. I just didn’t know how to fight for you.”

She was silent for a moment.

Then she said, “I don’t know what to do anymore. But pls leave right now.”

Rosa picked up her phone.

“They’re together already.,” she said. “Time to speed things up.”

The voice on the other end replied, “It’ll be done. He won’t live to see her walk down the aisle.”

She smiled.

The kids were fast asleep in my room, unaware of who was at the door.I walked quietly to the entrance and looked through the small side glass. It was Dickson. He stood there with snow in his hair, hands in his jacket pockets, eyes fixed on the ground.I opened the door slowly but didn’t move aside.“What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice low but firm.“I needed to see them,” he said quietly, not raising his eyes.“They’re asleep. And you weren’t invited.”He nodded. “I know. I just… I couldn’t sleep without knowing if they’re okay.”“They’re fine. You can go now.”He looked up then, and the sadness in his eyes was something I hadn’t seen in a long time.“Daisy,” he said softly, “I don’t want to fight with you. I just want to be in their lives. I know I’ve made mistakes. Big ones. But I’m still their father.”I crossed my arms. “You only show up whe
