Daisy's POV

Daisy stood in her room, staring at the DNA test kit on her bed. Her fingers was completely trembled as she reached out to touch the box. The moment she feared had finally come. Dickson wanted answers, and he wasn’t going to stop this time around until he knew the truth about the children.

I know I use every possible ways and means to run away from him.

But he is too demanding and really troublesome.

She looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were tired. Her skin pale. The past few weeks had drained her. Her secret was no longer safe.

A knock on the door made her jump.

"Come in," she said, trying to steady her voice.

Lycan walked in. He looked calm, but Daisy could see something in his eyes. Worry.

"You don’t have to do this," he said, eyeing the test kit.

"I have to," Daisy whispered. "He won’t stop until he knows the truth."

You too you have been so secretive, who gave you the guts to speak to me?

Lycan sat on the edge of the bed. Looking confused and don't know what to say or do.

"What if he uses the result against you? What if he tries to take them?"

It's none of your business.

Daisy sighed. "I don’t know. But lying won’t work anymore."

I will tell him the truth, but not everything completely.

Lycan lowered his voice. "Then at least let me help. I know someone… someone who can delay the results. We give him a version that says maybe. Not yes, not no. That will buy us time."

Daisy looked at him. Her heart said yes. Her mind screamed no.

"Fine," she agreed. "But only for now."

It was another cool morning, the birds I'm the sky were chirping, a very cool and comfortable atmosphere.

Dickson stood outside Daisy’s office building. He wore a dark suit and looked like he hadn’t slept. His eyes searched the crowd until he saw her.

She walked up to him slowly. "The test is done," she said.

"Where is it?" he asked, not hiding his impatience.

"You’ll have the result by tonight," Daisy said.

Dickson nodded, his jaw tight. "I just want the truth."

I know I haven't been faithful to you, I know you're angry with me, but please right I want to know everything.

At Dr. Mirah's clinic, Daisy handed her the samples. Mirah looked at her with concern.

"Are you sure you want me to delay this?"

"Just for a few days," Daisy said. "Make it look like an inconclusive match. I need time to prepare."

Mirah nodded. "I’ll take care of it. But be careful. If this backfires..."

"I know," Daisy said. "Thank you."

It was already late in the evening, Dickson got an email with the results.

"Possible paternal match. Inconclusive without further analysis."

He stared at the words for a long time. He didn’t know what to feel. It wasn’t a yes. But it wasn’t a no either.

He grabbed his phone and called Daisy.

She picked up after a few rings.

"What does this mean?" he asked.

"It means you might be the father," Daisy said quietly.

"Might? That’s all you’re giving me?"

"I told you they were mine. That should be enough."

"But it’s not! I need to know, Daisy. You can’t hide this forever."

She hung up.

Later that night, Daisy sat by her window looking so lonely and confused, and watching the city lights. Lycan entered the room and sat beside her.

"He’s going to keep pushing," Lycan said.

"I know."

"You could just tell him."

Daisy shook her head. "He doesn’t deserve to know. And you don't have the right to control me. Not yet. Not until I’m sure he won’t hurt them."

Lycan looked away. He didn’t agree, but he didn’t say it.

Three days passed. The children were playing in the yard when Daisy noticed a man watching from across the street. Her heart sank. She knew that face.

It was one of Dickson’s bodyguard.

She rushed outside and gathered the kids. "Inside, now."

She called Lycan "They’re coming again."

"I’ll take care of it," he said.

That night, a note was slipped under her door.

*You can lie to him, but you can’t be unfaithful forever.*

Daisy stared at the words. Her hands shook. Someone knew. Someone else.

She tore the note into pieces and flushed it down the toilet. But the fear remained.

Dickson sat in his office, staring at pictures of the children. He had collected photos from the park, the school, even the grocery store.

Each one looked like him. The eyes. The smile.

He knew the truth. Deep down, he knew.

Rita walked in.

"Sir, there’s something else. One of the children… his medical form lists you as the emergency contact."

Dickson’s eyes widened. "What?"

"It might be a mistake. But it’s there. Signed by Dr. Mirah."

He stood up. "We’re going to her clinic. Now."

At the clinic, Mirah greeted them with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.

"Alpha Dickson. I wasn’t expecting you."

"You signed me as an emergency contact," he said, handing her the form.

She took it and read it. "That’s... surprising. I don’t remember doing that."

"But it’s your signature."

Mirah looked at him. "Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe I was under pressure."

Dickson leaned in. "Are they mine?"

Mirah didn’t answer. She just looked away.

I can't share my Patients confidentiality report to a stranger.

That was answer enough.

Daisy sat by the fireplace, hugging her knees. The kids were asleep. The house was quiet.

Then her phone rang.

She answered it, expecting Lycan.

But it was Rosa.

"You can only keep this lie going for so long," Rosa said.

"Stay away from me."

"Oh, I will. But others won’t. You made enemies, Daisy. Enemies that know more than you think."

Daisy hung up. Feeling so scared and palpitated by the whole scenario.

There were too many eyes. Too many secrets. And one fragile truth waiting to break everything apart.

She looked out the window again.

This time, she wasn’t sure who was watching.
