Laura's POV

“Eric?” I paused, my eyes fixated on his drenched clothes. The rain wasn't showing mercy either because it kept dripping.

Eric stared at me without saying a word, his eyes were doing the talking instead, and I suddenly felt taken aback by his stares. Why was he staring at me that way?

Suddenly, he started taking slow strides to me, every step he took making my body fidget as I expected him to blast at my face. Perhaps Agatha must have lied to him about what occurred today.

“I'm sorry for not believing you.” His next words came as a shock to my face, my expression registered with astonishment as my mouth fell open.

Did Eric Sloan of all people just apologized and forgave me?!
