LAURA

“Is the meal prepared yet, Sasha?” Came Eric's voice and a wide smile spread on my lips. For the past two days, there wasn't any sight of Agatha lurking around and for some reason, I felt great, and happy that she wasn't around. Or else, if she was, I knew there'd be havoc. Seeing the other side of Eric for the past two days has been something else. He treats me like a woman, not just any woman, but how a woman deserved to be treated.

“I said I'm alright, Eric.” I let out a groan as we sat in the dining room.

“You aren't feeling too good, Laura. You should eat, at least some soup.” Eric replied, calling after Sasha who came with two bowls of soup and I chuckled, shaking my head.

We ate in silence, as if we were mute for some minutes. I kept glancing at Eric who stayed focused on his meal. I let out a soft sigh.
