Here’s Nova

Narrator : Ashley

After I told off those idiots, I went to the address Susie told me.

“Hello?” I asked ringing the bell and a small girl who was around 8 opened. 

“Susie!” She cried while hugging the dog. 

“MOM? DAD?” She yelled and a woman came out. “Susie! you are back.Thank you so much”,she said

“Let me get your reward”, she said.

I smirked and started running back to my bike.

“Here” She said coming out but I was already on my bike. 

“Thank you, but I don’t need it." I told her. Then I turned to Susie and said," Hey Susie, no more running ok?”.

She replied with a “Yes Ashley” and I sped off. 

When we reached our home I took out my angel from the backpack and said, “Ok Nova you can now shift back” and added a barrier around the house. Her bones started to shift and she howled in pain as I took her and set her on my lap running a hand through her fur until she shapeshifted into her little cute white tiger.

“Why so long?” She mewled. 

“Sorry Nova, some wolves were following me,” I replied sheepishly. Unlike me this little tiger doesn’t have a human form most likely because she is born a tiger and she hasn’t met the moon goddess. 

“Come on I’ll make some bacon” I said walking and getting the food out. 

“I hate when you use the shapeshifting potion on me”,she whimpered and I picked her up as she cuddled into me.

“Sorry baby but I had to. You know we can’t seem suspicious.” I gave her a small kiss before getting a box out and the push out button came out turning into a little chair I use for Nova. 

I called her Angel in front of the stupid wolves who won't leave me alone. 

“Here” I said, handing her the raw bacon and she scarfed it down. I rolled my eyes, taking a pan and some oil and cooking mine. 

“Happy?” I asked Snow as I finished my food. 

“Very” She yawned curling up inside me. 

“Come on I’m tired” I yawned, taking out a box of my clothes and wearing my pj’s. 

“Goodnight Nova” I kissed her nose before waiting for her to fall asleep.

Once she slept I gently placed her on her bed and took out my laptop and started  looking for schools which allowed animals in the campus. After all I couldn't leave my baby alone while I attended school. I finally enrolled in one where there was no restriction on the species of animals allowed in the campu and went to sleep.

Beep. Beep. Beep. My alarm started beeping. Ohh.Come On. It seemed i just slept five minutes back.

“Shut up” I groaned, turning around when I heard a squeak from something under me and turned to see I was squashing Nova. I jumped off the bed.

I yawned and took a shower changing into jeans and a black shirt. I genuinely like black but the golden blonde from that guy’s hair has not left my tiger’s mind. 

“Shut up” I told Snow, getting my backpack. 

“What? He looks so cute! Like a puppy” She cooed and I rolled my eyes. Yup!!  My tiger just called an ALPHA cute. 

“Nova! I’ve got chicken” I yelled and she ran down the stairs and stumbled on the second one from the top and came crashing on the stairs. She let out a cry of pain and I ran to her. 

“Are you ok?” I picked her up and she cried again. Her leg was bent at a weird angle.

“Shush….You’re ok” I ran a hand over her, petting her and calming her down. Once she was calm enough I checked her leg. 

“You broke it….Come on” I said, getting a first aid kit and getting the bandage. 

“This will hurt,” I said before firmly gripping her leg and she cried out. I was internally cringing and crying hating this but I bandaged her up before taking her in my hands. 

“You’re ok” I hummed a little song for her cradling her while her head rested on my shoulder.

“Here” I said, breaking the chicken into pieces and putting them next to her mouth while she ate them. I took a bag of chips and a chocolate before leaving.

 “Where will I stay?” Nova asked me licking my face where a small tear had escaped. “With me.There’s no way my baby is staying alone without me”,I let out a small growl. 

“Mom! I’m not a baby.",she huffed and I chuckled. 

“You’ll always be my baby even if you’re 100 years old”, I kissed her nose before we went in.

“Snow hide your aura because I know you unblocked it yesterday. Your pranks are getting annoying! You will blow our cover”,I growled and she rolled her eyes before blocking it. I went in and everyone came and looked at me. 

“Hello, can I have my schedule please?”, I asked the woman and she eyed the tiger. 

“We will have to take her to the daycare miss”, she said and stretched her hand to take Nova from my hands

“She will be staying with me. She already broke her leg and she attacks anything that tries to touch her except me”, I said.

The woman was adamant, “Ma’am I’m afraid we have to take her. She cannot stay in the class”, I was getting frustrated now. 

“Snow help me", I said to my tiger and growled at the woman, “Listen lady. My tiger broke her leg today so do not mess with me right now or else you will face consequences. 

The woman let out an almost inaudible whimper before nodding and gave me my schedule. It was Snow's command that forced the woman to do exactly What I said.

Everyone was staring at me now. I rolled my eye, shrugged and went into my class carrying Nova in my hands
