Alexander's Mate

“What did you find?” I asked Asher as he came back. 

“She doesn’t talk much”, was his simple reply. 

“Then why did you come back?”I asked him, annoyed.

“My wolf just told me to go and when I didn’t he took full control and forced me to leave”, he replied sheepishly.

“I will give it a try", I sighed.

“She wants to be alone,” Asher said.

“Too bad, so sad”, I rolled my eyes and walked towards my mate.

“Oh great, did your friend send you?” she asked, clearly annoyed.

“Why do you think he sent me?” I asked her amused. 

“So is it a coincidence that I saw you near the gate of my mansion talking to him?”, she smirked and I frowned. 

“How did you see me from here?”, I asked, surprised. The mansion gate wasn't visible from where she was standing. How the hell she saw Asher and me? 

“Fucking finally”, she exclaimed ignoring my question and I looked at her with wide eyes. I have never heard a girl swear so casually before.

She cocked an eyebrow at me, “I swear on an everyday basis”. Then she got her keys out of her pocket and got in the car. 

“Where are you going?”, I asked her. 

“What does it matter to you?”, she called out before speeding off. 

“Feisty” my wolf mused and I rolled my eyes and started following her discreetly. 

“These idiots”, I heard her say from the car and I frowned. Is she talking about us?. No of course not. I can hear her because of my wolf. But she is just a human, she cannot see or sense us from this far. I relaxed a bit after this thought occurred to me.

She went into the garage attached to the cottage and came out with a black Harley Davidson. 

“Sweet!” Asher whispered and my mystery mate smirked.

Again I had this feeling that she can sense us. I jerked the thought off and kept my eyes on her. She is just a human, I assured myself. She cannot sense us.

She looked at her helmet and rolled her eyes, keeping it on her handle before zooming off. 

“She doesn't care if she dies,” Asher muttered. We continued following her. 

She then went to an auto repair shop and said to the guy standing at the reception, “I need to use this mechanic shop for 2 hours. How much?”. I was amused at her request. Why would the receptionist allow a total stranger to use his shop? But to my surprise he said  “300 dollars an hour, in cash” he answered. She nodded, handing over the cash to him.

Then She got working with hammers and nails and whatnot.

She made a trolley for the side of the bike with a small seatbelt and cushion.

“Idiots will not leave me alone”, she muttered.

Now this made me really uneasy. This time I couldn't shake the feeling that she knows about us.

She opened her little white backpack and a small furball came out. “Hello Angel”, she cooed at the dog as the dog licked her face and felt this pang of jealousy. “Mine! Mine! Mine! She is mine”, my wolf growled wanting to come out and kill that dog but I held him in. 

“Angel. I’ll let you do that after the unneeded guests have stopped following us. These idiots love stalking”, she said.

Did she just talk to a dog?

“Is she talking about us? How on Earth can she know” Asher asked but I just shrugged as she attached the little trailer to her bike. She strapped Angel into the trailer and sped off.

I don’t know why I was still following her but I was.

Suddenly, a dog came in front of her and her eyes widened. “Look out!” She yelled pressing the brakes. The bike did a somersault and my mate fell off. Time seemed to slow down as I saw my mate falling headfirst with no helmet. My heart was thumping and my wolf was howling. But just before her head was about to strike the road, she jumped up landing vertically with a graceful backflip. That all happened in less than a second and I just stared at her. What happened? 

“Oy doggo come here”, she yelled and strangely the dog came. “Listen buddy you don’t jump in front of cars or bikes ok?” She asked and the dog nodded.

”You are not a stray dog are you?” She asked and the dog barked. “Name?” The dog barked again. 

“Susie. Let me get groceries then I’ll help you,” she said getting on the bike and she held Angel in her arms and strapped the dog in before she sped off. 

“How did she react so quickly?”, I mused. My wolf just forced me to go after her. "Shut Up!! Go to our mate", he howled.

We followed to a grocery store. She came out with grocery bags and Susie and Angel followed her. She closed her eyes as if concentrating and soon enough 20 to 30 dogs came and jumped on her. 

“Woah” She chuckled, dropping to the ground. “Sit” She commanded and every dog sat. My jaw dropped. 

“I’ll get you your food” She chuckled before grabbing her bag and setting a big food bowl and filling it up and soon enough every dog was eating and people were gawking at her. 

She looked around. “Take a picture it will last longer” She called out and everyone looked away but this one guy took out his phone and started taking a video. 

“Oy! Were you born in the stone age or something that you don’t understand sarcasm? If you want I can enroll you in a nursery school where babies go but looking at you you probably are one” She called out and the guy's face turned red as he stopped and walked out. She roasts people for a living. 

“Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww” She squealed as she picked up cute little puppies and hugged them as they licked her.

 “Omg I love you little pups” She picked up another one and set it on her head while my wolf was growling at those cute little things. 

“Kill them! They have a better chance at my mate than my own human does. Why am I not a puppy? I’m just stuck with this idiot.”, my wolf was now pounding in my head making my head hurt. 

“You guys are so cute!” She squealed while one puppy was on her head, the other in her arms, one on her lap, his paws on her chest while she took a selfie. She hugged them and my wolf was growling so loud in my head wanting a release. 

“I wish I could take you home but the situation I am in makes it difficult”, she sighed sadly and every dog came and tried to lick her. “So cute! I’ll come back again tomorrow for you all and maybe we will go to a dog park or something but right now I have to go”, she said softly putting the puppies down and my wolf huffed in satisfaction. “But I will be back tomorrow, I promise”, she hugged the puppies one last time before getting up. 

“Susie let’s go!” She called and the brown labrador followed her to the scooter. 

“Fucking hell…..these idiots won’t leave me alone” She growled closing her eyes and Angel licked her face, calming her. 

“Stay, I'll be back,” she said going into the grocery store.

I started following her into the store but Susie and Angel jumped on me making me fall down. Same with Asher.

“Let’s leave,” Asher said walking back. We were keeping a lookout at the grocery store from where my mystery mate would come out when I heard someone cough and turned around to see her standing behind us shooting daggers. 

“Would you like to tell me why you have been stalking me?”, she scowled and I just stared at her.

“We were….doing a project?”, Asher said.

If not for her staring down at me, I would have burst out laughing at Asher's stupid reply. 

“Just leave me the fuck alone, please. I have some private issues to fix and I am here for a couple of months only. If you have a problem with me staying here kindly tell me and I’ll fix it” The last part was menacing and cold.

I slowly shook my head and she smirked, liking my submission before walking off. 

What the hell? Why did I submit to her will? I started following her once again but my wolf didn’t allow it. “No!” He growled, not letting me move.

“What the heck?” I looked at Asher who just shrugged. “Told you”, he said.

I rolled my eyes before walking off. I didn’t even found her name.
