“Alpha! We Have someone on the territory!” Asher, my beta said. For the past few months, he’s been very distant, barely talking with anyone.

 “Human?” I asked him.

 “Yes alpha”

 “Then what is the problem?”I asked, my brows furrowed in confusion.

 “Sir our wolves immediately accepted her as a friend and ally and are ready to protect her with their lives”, he said

 I rolled my eyes and said, “Very funny prank Asher”.

 “Really Xander? I am not lying”.

 I scanned him up and down to find any clues of him lying but nothing. “Show me this human” I growled.

 He took me to a small cottage situated nearby. The blinds were undone and a girl was unloading boxes. Although we stopped a mile away, I could still see her clearly due to my wolf sight. She had short blonde hair, sparkling green eyes, and a light skin tone. She was wearing cute pom-poms on her head with a white shirt and blue shorts. 

 “MATE! GO TO MATE!”, my wolf howled. I was taken aback. That’s not how I imagined meeting my mate that too a human.

 As if on cue, she stiffened and scanned her surroundings. It was as if she sensed our presence, I thought. Of course, that wasn’t possible as she was a human. 

 Duck!” Asher said as he threw me next to the tree. 

 “Gosh !! Asher”, I growled when I felt her stare on me. I peeked out from behind the tree to risk a look.
