Chapter Two

"I hope the girls that tryout this year have actual talent unlike last year" I said while changing into my cheer clothes

"Alexis they can hear you" Taylor whsipered to me while nodding towards the newbies who were trying out some back again after being rejected last year 

I glared at Taylor "I don't care if they can hear me maybe this will give them motivation to actually be good or at least decent enough to fill in Lisa's spot"

"oh please it would take two girls to fill in Lisa's spot with her fat ass" Shelly said while laughing

I laughed too but Taylor just looked away "its a joke Taylor relax" 

She finished tying her shoes then exited the locker room. I rolled my eyes she can be such a prude sometimes

"well anyway we should head out there" I started clapping my hands loudly "lets go girls if you're not out in five seconds you might as well head home!" 

The girls started running around the room trying to get their clothes and shoes on

I walked out the locker room with Shelly right behind me "LETS GO LADIES" I yelled at the girls who were still scrambling around 

I took a deep breath and started surveying the bleachers to see who was trying out this year shes too fat, shes too tall would look like a lamp post on the field and she oh my God I stopped my internal surveying of the girls when my eyes landed on Naomi sitting at the far end of the bleachers she must've gotten here super early and gotten dressed 

I walked over to her "you might as well leave babygirl cause I can tell you right now the answer is no"  I said standing in front of her 

She laughed and looked away "whatever Alexis, I'm here to tryout just like the rest of these girls"

"well you won't be getting on the team so why don't you run along like you did last year or do I need to get the shaving cream again"

She glared at me but before she could speak I blew my whistle "alright ladies I'll tell you right now if you can't do a herkie, front and side hurdle or a pike then its best you leave now and not waste my time" I said while looking around the gym 

A couple of girls got up and scurried out the room "anyone else" I looked at Naomi but she just glared at me "well lets get started then, Amber why don't you show them the fight cheer; Amber will do the cheer three times if you don't have it memorized after the third time then this team isn't for you. LETS GO"

The girls lined up in front of Amber and watched as she did the cheer. The cheer was a bit complicated but made it easier for me to weed out the weaklings. After Amber did it for the third time I told the girls to redo the cheer altogether.

"alright stop now I want you to do the cheer individually, go down the line starting with you and ending with you" I said while pointing at Naomi at the end of the line "LETS GO"

The first three girls were awful, the next two were decent but couldn't get the footing right and the two girls after them just ran out the gym without even trying to attempt the cheer "guess that leaves you" I said while standing across from Naomi 

She did the cheer exactly like Amber but didn't end there she proceeded to do a herkie, front and side hurdles, pike and topped it all with a split 

The squad and the rest of the girls started to clap and cheer for her "stop clapping you idiots" I yelled glaring at all of them "you failed I said folow Amber but no you wanted to show off so you fail GET OUT!"

She stepped up to my face "you're so full of shit, I'm good and you know it"

I stepped around her and addressed the rest of the girls "Girls who made the team will be posted on Monday go change and get outta here" the girls started running to the locker rooms 

Taylor walked over to me "Alexis what are you thinking, Naomi is really good" 

I looked her up and down "yeah but not good enough"

I waited until the girls were exiting the locker room before I entered. I started pulling my sweatpants on when I heard footsteps "Taylor don't start" I said loudly but when I turned around it was Naomi standing there
