I enjoyed the sunset before the warmth of the sun left my skin and the nights cool breeze surrounded me like a cold blanket. I shivered at the change in temperature, and I knew I had to go inside sooner or later, but I didn’t know if I was ready for more complicated answers for all my questions.
I looked towards packhouse to the window of her office, I could see the shape of her back in the window frame, and it looked like she wasn’t alone.
I got up and brushed the dirt of my pants and walked back towards the house.
As I entered the house I heard a loud commotion upstairs and it sounded like it came from the Supreme Alpha’s Office.
I ran up the stairs only to hear the yelling from the office intensify but I couldn’t make out the words.
