Luke POV
I enlightened Steffan with my vision and Iza’s explanation of it. I also told him about the cuts and wounds Saul had to patch up afterwards.
“Okay I’ll play along. And so what? You met a dead chick! If you had the vision doesn’t that contradict your statement because as I understand only the Supreme Alphas get this vision, and you had it” he asked.
“Perhaps, but Accalia announced me not to be a Supreme Alpha” I replied.
“I’m sorry, but I am having a hard time believing all of this” he answered me.
“Yeah I would to, but you can ask Iza or Saul. When I told them, I thought, they were going to think I was mad, just as you do now, but quite the opposite. It was like it all made sense to them. Except for the part where I wasn’t who they thought I was. Well Saul actually didn’t seem that surprised, when I said I wasn’t the next Supreme Alpha” I
Luke POVWe drove for at little while in silence both deep in our own thoughts both trying to comprehend what we just heard from one another and per usual I did get some answers, but I felt more confused than before. Maybe Saul was right, maybe it was better if I didn’t know – it didn’t seem like this story had a happy ending, not unless I gave it one and nothing from the past could change that. The future was literary in my hands. But then I remembered our deal and Steffan still hadn’t kept his part of it.“So, I still want you to hold up your end off the deal” I said and me talking to him seemed to startle him.“I’m sorry! Where you talking to me?” he asked clearly way deep in his own thoughts.“Yes? You promised to answer my question. Information for information. I kept my part” I replied as he looked confused at me.“Yeah, of course, what was the question?” he
The Supreme AlphaIt was my first night without Steffan, not that we usually shared a bed, but he was always in my reach.Ever since we came home he had slept in my bedroom, not out of love or attraction, but because of my night terrors. It had been a long time since I had suffered under them, but ever since Mazon’s attack they were back. Haunting me every night, but Steffan could keep them at bay.I was uncomfortable and anxious about going to sleep, but after the attack and the day I had, my body and my mind was exhausted and even though I fought the sleep like my worst enemy it still overthrew me, and I surrendered myself to it.I fell into a deep sleep, but not a peaceful one.A shadow approached me, and I tried to fight it, but felt as fragile and weak as a child, not having any impact on the shadow what so ever.It grabbed me by the hair, and I screamed trying to kick myself free. Trying to escape its grip knowing what awa
The Supreme Alpha POVThere once was a young girl. She was fare and more beautiful than any other. And her beauty grew with every day that past. She was admired by all and beloved by many as her purity and innocent filled her heart. She did not know evil or darkness only light and love filled her as she never experienced anything other from the ones around her.She had the ability to heal others from the light in her heart. Never wanting to hurt or inflict pain on anyone. One day she fell in love with someone who belonged to someone else. She did not know this. She thought him to be her soulmate, and she thought he loved her just as deeply as she loved him.But he did not.She gave him her most precious gift. Her innocents. She gave it in the belief that he would see it as a testament of her love for him. That it would convince him that they belonged together. But it did not.He left with her innocents. Never to return it, but to have
Luke POVWe had been driving for days, taken turns, so the other one could get some sleep before driving again. We only stopped at a few rests stops along the way. The sun was about to rise, and I really hoped we would arrive in time for the funeral.A big yawn came from the passenger seat as Steffan stretch his body.He pointed sleepy at the next exit on the highway, and I didn’t hesitate to take it needing a break from driving. I stopped and parked the car at a rest stop next to a beautiful forest. My legs and body were in desperate need of some stretching, so I ripped open the door and got out of the car.“It didn’t seem that long of a drive when we left?” I said as my body ached.“That princess, was because you were all snuggled up next to Iza in the back seat, remember?” Steffan replied as he tried to straighten his back as it made series of a loud knacks. He looked at his watch: “We will make i
Steffan POVI knew as soon as his scent caught my nose. I would never forget his scent as it was imprinted on my brain as reminder of that day. A musk smell combined with cadaver and mold filled my nostrils and body stiffened. I couldn’t move knowing that any minute now he would come forth among the trees in the middle of the woods. I had to see it with my own eyes even though I knew my scent wouldn’t deceive me.Iza and her men had killed a lot of rouges and hunted down a few after the attack, but they never found my sister and when I started hunting the rouges myself I killed a few from the pack as well. But I never found her or the man who ripped her from me. I assumed that Iza’s men had killed him and that he had killed my sister as well. Cause what would they need a child for? But we never found her corpse either. My body tensed as the scent got stronger and my wolf took control ready to fight. Ready to kill. But then more emerge from behi
Steffan POV“She is closer than you think!” the leader spoke with a grin as he turned his back on me.That was all I needed to hear. I wrestled my way free from underneath their grip and shifted into wolf form as I ripped them apart with my canines injuring them badly making them back away from me as their leader turned to gaze upon me one more time.“Well, that was a surprise, but thankfully I have a few more men to take care of you and since you pissed me off, I will have to go back on my word and let my men enjoy killing you slowly” he replied at my actions looking as his men limping away as new ones approach me.Luke growled loudly and jumped the leader placing his canines around his neck as black tar emerged from his gums.“Luke stop!” I screamed at him, but the leader did not look one bit surprised or afraid. He as I, was well aware, that he had the upper hand knowing the location of my sister, even if it w
Luke POVWe were back at the pack house getting ready for the funeral and I felt an unease being here. I knew I was a guest, but I felt just as unwanted as the rouges. And I knew my aunt was furious at me for not giving up the little girl.Right now, the little girl called Arianne, who maybe or maybe not be Lily, was hiding underneath my bed. She crawled under it as soon as we arrived, and I shifted into human form. She was clearly more comfortable with me as a wolf than as a human. But I had let her be. I knew how it felt like to be a scared child among untrusting grownups who was supposed to protect you.Me and Steffan had taken our stand in the forest against Lucy’s whole pack, and they would have gladly ripped us apart if it hadn’t been for Alpha Lucian and the threat of retaliation from the Supreme Alpha. Lucy unwillingly agreed to have the girl stay at my side, not really having much of a choice, but the compromise was that I was
The Supreme Alpha POVA buzzing sound from my night table woke me and I grabbed my phone to see what the clock was. The curtains blocked out any sunlight, so it was difficult to determined what time of day it was.EITGTH O’CLOCK! What!? I usual woke around 5o’clock and went for a long run. I looked around the room to see Tomas sound a sleep sitting up against the floor making a stain on my carpet as he snoringly drooled all over the place. What was it with teenage boys and drool? I thought to myself.I opened my phone to see a message from Steffan.“I FOUND HER!” I read to myself.“Found who?” I texted back.I could see small dots appear on my phone and soon after he replied.“LILY! I FOUND LILY” he replied.“Fucking shit!” I cursed out loud waking Tomas from his sleep. He stumbled to his feet whipping the drool of off him. “What is going on?” He res
Iza POVWe had been home for 6 months now and everything had been perfectly normal, maybe a bit to perfect someone might add, but I enjoyed every moment of it living a normal family life.We had experienced some resistance among the pack members, when we first arrived back home, and it was announced that I were a mere human now, and worse that they no longer had an Alpha to lead them. Luke had refused to take on the title and Arianna was too young, so Steffan had stepped up as our new Alpha of the pack, and thankfully everyone was pleased with that decision. Tomas was announced as the new Beta as Luke didn’t want any title or responsibility, but it was still agreed that Luke would be the next in line for the role as Alpha of the pack if something were to happen to Steffan. After Steffan took over the role as Alpha and the pack had settle down and accepted me as a human to live among them everything seemed to turn out for the better.Me, Steffan, Tom
Luke POVI decided to walk through the city alone rather than return to pack house. There was no point in running after Kate if her demands of me proving my love to her was leaving Arianna behind. Her mother sacrifices herself too safe me. I weren’t going to abandoned Arianna now for my own desire to be near Kate. Fate had brought me and Arianna together, and if me and Kate were destined to be mates I had to believe that the Moon Goddess would intwine our destinies if not now then later in life. But for now, it seemed as if Kate was destined to be with Lucian and I to stay and protect Arianna. I cared deeply for Arianna, and I was more than willing to dedicate my life to keep her safe from harm, but right now this sucked. I wanted to scream and break something as I felt complete helpless in the situation. I wanted more than anything to just be able to leave everything behind and elope with Kate, but I couldn’t.Seeing Kate walk away and leave me for good wa
Luke POVArianna ran inside the pack house leaving me and Kate alone outside which had been the only thing I wanted all morning.I looked at the clothes in her arms that she still hadn’t handed me.I watched her eyes wander from every inch of my body and I wondered when she was going to notice that I too was watching her. But she was deep in thought as she examined every inch of my naked body with her eyes.“Can I have the clothes now?” I asked as I smiled at her. She blushed.“I’m sorry. Here!” she said and threw them at me.“No, no it is okay. I just wanted to make sure you were done staring at my naked body” I said as I started to get dressed.“Asshole!” she said and turned her back to me.“It’s a little late to turn around now, isn’t it? I mean you kind of seen the crown jewels”She turned around and looked angry at me: “I came
Luke POVIt was a fight to regain control from the wolf Lycan and my legs felt weak under me as I stood in human form once again. I could still feel him trying to fight himself back to the surface again, but I pushed him down and ignored him.I rather go back to having no wolf than let this manic take control of my body again.I was standing huffing and puffing like the wolf from the fairytale of the three little pigs as I tried to catch my breath. And then I noticed her little hand once again in mind. I looked down to see Arianna stand next to me and once again she was my salvation. I squeezed her hand and she squeezed it back while smiling at me.And if she read my mind she mouthed; “Always!” And I smiled back at her. “Always!”I thought it was over until I heard growling and I noticed Lucian hadn’t shifted back and Kate and Steffan were still on their knees baring their throat to me.“I release y
Luke POVI shifted into wolf form and let Lycan loose and his anger rushed through me and filled every inch of me.I slowly walked towards Lycan with my head low between my shoulder blades as I growled from deep within me. Everyone else took a step back as they all feared the big black wolf, Lycan.I hated how much I loved the feeling of him taking control. The feeling of limitless power and confidence. I relished in it and enjoyed feeling invincible. It was a feeling I wasn’t used to. Actually, I don’t think I ever felt like this before being in the present of Lycan. I didn’t agree with his constant desire to kill, but I liked how he stood is ground and never took shit from anyone. Even though the whole self proclaimed king of the wolves was a bit too much.Lycan had wanted to kill Lycan for a long time, but his desire for blood simple wasn’t reason enough to go around ripping throats out. But hurting Kate – big mistake!
Luke POVWe walked backed to the house as the sun rose above us greeting in a new day and setting fire to the sky with bright red colors.I knew we had to go pack our stuff before we left for home, but I really needed to get some rest and preferably some sleep first and then I desperately needed to see Kate, but as we arrived at the pack house the decision were made for me as Kate and Lucian were leaving.Alpha Lucian still looked very pale, and his wounds still weren’t healed properly. They weren’t open, bleeding or looked infected, but he looked really sick, not in a dying or weak way. He just seemed off. He was usually so correct and always properly dressed in a suit even though being a wolf often meant getting dirty and muddy. But today he looked messy and out of place.“You are leaving?” Iza asked Lucian, and he nodded uninterested, but smiled politely at her. She went to him and hugged him lovingly, but he did not return the
Luke POVThe sun began to rise as I started to near the end of forest and the pack house began to appear between the trees. I felt the first light of sun hit my skin as I exited the woods. Even though it was only a new it felt like a new beginning.I didn’t know if I had actually expected to come out of this alive but being here and looking up at the windows to where I knew the others were sleeping, I was glad I was. It was finally all over and I could start over. I could go anywhere and start a whole new life and leave all of this behind me, but where to start? I knew it was expected of me, that I would to go back home with Iza. But I didn’t have to. I did however still belong to her pack, but then again, if Iza weren’t a wolf anymore, could she then still be in charge or the Alpha of the pack. I didn’t know. And then it hit me, was I to be the new Alpha with Iza being my mother?“A king needs a kingdom” Lycan&r
Iza POV”I lied””What was that?” Steffan asked as he lifted himself up to lie on his elbows in bed.I had been sitting and staring out of the window towards the woods ever since Steffan had told me that Luke had left to confront Darian and his pack of rouges. He had brought Arianna in to sleep with us and by the sound of her breathing she was deep a sleep next to Steffan.I had cursed Steffan for letting Luke go into the woods alone or even go at all. But I also knew Luke was never going to leave with us, knowing Darian was still out there, so Steffan had been right to let him go. I just prayed he would return alive.Darian as an opponent was fierce enough, but facing him and his whole pack of rouges seemed like a suicide mission, so I had waited patiently at the window. Waiting for him to come out of the woods again. Alive and well. But nothing so far.I must have been sitting there for hours as the first gli
Luke POVI walked into the midnight air taking a deep breath in as the cold temperature of the night reached my lungs. It was like inhaling for the first time after being under water. It was refreshing and I let myself enjoy it for a second knowing what lied ahead of me.“Are you ready?” I asked out loud even though I didn’t need to.“Release me!” he both answered and ordered. And I shifted into wolf form and let him take control of me.I felt rush of adrenalin and I stretched in my wolf form. I suddenly felt unstoppable and powerful and more than ready for the task at hand. Lycan started to run through the forest. Even though he was big – he was fast and athletic and jumped with ease over fallen trees and in between branches.“Do you know where you are going?” I asked.“I got his scent – he is nearby” he answered as his pace slowed down.He stopped and gr
