Anna's POV

With Maya still in the chamber with me, I was racking my head on the suggestion she had tendered.

“Anna, you shouldn't pity your enemies. If you keep doing this, they would think you're a weakling and would keep attacking you.” Maya pressed on.

She had suggested we accosted Selena on our own and get her to confess to her crimes. It might have sounded easy, but it was a difficult task for one to embark on.

“It's not about pity. It's not easy, you know.” I allowed my shoulders to slump only to dig my hand into my hair the next minute as a low wince escaped from my lips.

Wrapping my hand around myself, I shut my eyes tightly, trying to come up with a better plan but my head was blank.

“I know it's not easy but if we sit back and do nothing, she will come up with something else. Like I said, Selena is not someone who gives up easily.”

“I know.”

“So what are you waiting for?” She snapped. Holding my hand, she slid through the door and soon she was crouchin
