Anna's POV

After leaving the courtroom, I stormed towards my chamber, not bothering to even take a break. I was so furious that I couldn't even keep still even for a second.

With my hands resting on my waist, I was pacing to and fro, trying to shake off the conversation I had with Alpha Jasper from my head but it had been stuck.

To be honest, I didn't want to believe he was speaking in Selena's favor. The way he acted so carefree as if nothing mattered was something I couldn't get my mind off so easily.

Mother deserves to get an avenge for her death and stepfather too even though we weren't on the same page.

“I hate you.” I yelled, shutting my eyes tightly, trying to forget how he sold me to become Alpha Jasper's breeder.

“Had it been he didn't sell me off, I would have still been with mom, living my dream life and a happy home. They wouldn't be dead by now.” I muttered, falling on the foot of my bed.

Just then, the door opened, revealing Maya who was wearing a neutra
