After Selena left the study, I couldn't concentrate. I kept thinking about her request to return to the palace.

“The question is how she got into the palace in the first place without being accosted. I remembered vividly giving the guards the instruction not to admit her into the palace.” I said through gritted teeth and with my hands clenched.

That aside, the main focus was her boldness to show up after all the atrocities she had committed and her request of returning to the palace was something I couldn't wrap my head around.

“She thinks I'm a kid that she can toss about.” I let out a low chuckle, replaying the scene in my head.

Since I couldn't do anything after the interruption, I had no choice but to retire to my chambers and get some rest.

While walking through the hallway, I met the guards in their respective positions, bringing to my remembrance how Selena had managed to sneak her way into the study without their notice.
