Tapping my fingers against the table, I kept staring at the door Anna had walked through a few moments ago. Earlier, it took all that I had in me not to yell at her for trusting so blindly.

What am I even saying, even a blind man would be able to know Lillian was up to no good.

“My lord, the captive, Felix, still insists that he knows nothing about the death of Cyrus. What should we do to him? He has refused to have food and water despite the fact that he was given preferential treatment.” Beta Jacob said.

I liked Lillian, but she made a BIG MISTAKE. Didn’t she learn from the other maid who betrayed Anna? Lillian deserves whatever Jasper does to her.
