Reagan POV

"Good, you're awake," Carlos said, his voice dripping with malice as I forced my eyes open, my head pounding and body weak. My wrists ached from the chains, tightly wrapped around me, biting into my skin. Every breath I took felt labored, as if the air in the room had thickened with the weight of dread.

I lifted my head, locking eyes with him. “What do you want?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, the exhaustion evident in every word.

Carlos smiled—a chilling, twisted grin that sent a cold shiver down my spine. "I thought that was clear," he said, his gaze shifting to the figure standing beside him, the woman from earlier. "You do remember my friend, right?" He gestured toward her with a sickening nonchalance.
