Reagan's POV

Weeks had passed since the incident with Carlos, and yet, the distance between me and Andrea remained like an insurmountable wall. No matter what I did, I couldn’t hate her. I had tried—tried to pull away, tried to sever the connection we once shared, hoping that the space between us would help my feelings die. But it was futile. Wherever I was, her presence haunted me. I ached to hold her, to pull her close, to feel her soft lips on mine.

Every time I saw her in the hallway, the regret in her eyes was unmistakable. She was sorry, that much was clear.
