Chapter 10

Guinevere POV

"I hated everything about this stupid party," I thought, forcing a smile as I navigated through the crowd. Inside, I was seething.

How could they all switch sides so easily?

Hayden was the rightful Alpha. If it weren't for that cursed Alpha ring, Hayden would be standing there, not Reagan.

I had hoped to talk my dad out of this madness, but seeing him grinning alongside Reagan made me realize my mum had already convinced him.

With a heavy sigh, I gulped down my drink, wishing for this day to end.

I moved through the crowd, deliberately keeping my distance from Reagan and his triumphant gaze. Flashes of our kiss earlier kept invading my thoughts. My hands clenched tightly as the image replayed in my mind.

Ugh, I felt like screaming at the top of my lungs. I hated the kiss, hated the way he looked when we pulled apart, and most of all, I hated the pain and betrayal I saw in Hayden's eyes.
