Chapter Ninety Seven.

Aurora’s POV:

In the now stiffly quiet place, the only thing I could hear was the sound of Savannah’s gasps as she gurgled out blood from her mouth. She clutched the side of her neck where the bullet had penetrated and stared into space with her glazing eyes.

I jumped toward her, ready to help but when I saw the dark side eyes she immediately threw at me, I quickly stepped back. I knew she hated me, and I knew that she wanted Klaus to herself. However, what I didn’t understand was how she still remembered to hold grudges even now that she was on the brink of death.

I turned to Klaus; “Help her!”

Klaus, who had initially been so stunned, rushed to Savannah’s side. He wrapped his arms around her and then pressed down on her bullet wound using a small towel that had been in his pants pocket.

“Breathe… slowly,” he whispered to her; and then turning to his soldiers, he yelled; “Someone get the healer!”

As soon as I heard this, I stepped toward Klaus and Savannah again and knelt
